Supergirl Season Three: Tell them what ya want?

I know I'm getting way ahead here but I want the season to end on a happy note. It seams to me that the Arrowverse shows are ending their seasons by writing a "cliffhanger" that just has to be undone in the first part of the next season. On Supergirl we know Mon-El will be back. On Flash we know Barry will be out of the speedforce probably in the first episode. I don't watch Arrow but I heard they left it with everybody but Oliver and his son is dead and we know that won't be true. On Legends they have messed up time so badly that dinosaurs exist in modern day LA. How about if the major conflict happens during the season and is resolved by the end, like Supergirl did in season one. The producers should have confidence that the viewers will tune in next season without having to leave our heros in dire distress. Teasing the next season's villain or something like who's on the pod should be sufficient.

I'm with you but with TB shows you always need to leave something hanging to get people back for the following season. Now there are ways to achieve that and I will agree the previous seasons did it in a way that makes it comes across as a way to get cheap drama. This is one of the things that has made my stance on how much I love DCCW TV change lately. I'm still into all the shows but I admit I'm enjoying them less.

Well obviously I'm hoping for the Legion, as they wouldn't need to show up right away if he returns to our time without them. He could just, ya know, talk about them for now.

Well, there was a spoiler from Melissa just after the finale that may be a good clue of where Mon-El is.

Question: The Legion ring was shown in the fortress in Kevin Smith’s Supergirl episode. When will see it used in action?

When we delivered your Q to Supergirl star Melissa Benoist, she answered, “The Legion Ring, I believe, is on its way — but I don’t know exactly when.”

So yes, I expect that Mon-El was rescued by the Legion and he will return to the present timeline early in the season.

OK, besides Kara kicking more Arse than last season....I have 2 wishes...

1.

this in a scene.

2. Forgiveness scene between Mon-el and Lena....

For

Nix the journalism stuff. I haven't found a good reason on the show that justifies her interest in it. Partially I think it's because I don't find the same kind of value anything due to the last decade.

That doesn't mean less Danvers but I need something more natural and more deserved.

Oh romance. Look Supergirl can go a season without needing someone to sleep with.

Better villains that are Supergirl only. Look writers, she is not Superman. Stop stealing his story to make hers. If you really can't then just call the show Superman.

I think maybe it would be better if they took her out of Superman's element. What can she do that her cousin normally wouldn't?

Also don't lower Superman(not that they did as he was being humble which is why he's Superman) to prop her up.

Yes, most of the villains started as Superman villains, but most have been in the Supergirl comics as well. Psi is a Supergirl villain.

Correct....Psi is one of the oldest in the Supergirl lore.

As far as what can she do that her cousin normally wouldn't? Superman himself told her that in the finale at the end....and it is brought up again in the Season 3 trailer.

Not having Supergirl encounter "Superman villains" would be like Robin or Catwoman or Batgirl or Harley Quinn not encountering Batman villains.
The live in the same universe so of course they are going to meet the same villains. It would be silly if they didn't. Lot's of people are wondering
why an adult Lex Luthor hasn't shown up yet.

I'd honestly like to see if they could crea some original villains for her, she doesn't have many in the com is so doing something new on the show with the right actor could be really good for the Supergirl character overall. I think there has never been a definitive version of Supergirl until now, the TV show like Lynda Carters show was for Wonder Woman or the Christopher Reeve films were for Superman is the definitive take on the character and one I feel all others will be measured again. We've seen characters, influences etc cross over from Animation, TV and movies before into the comics aswell as other iterations of characters. This could be a chance to really boost Supergirl's rogues gallery as the show has already influences the current comics.

I could go for Lobo, H'el, and more Livewire.

I'd like to see Power Girl be a foe and eventual ally of Kara.

No more Mon-El.

And frustration with Reign ( and the Worldkillers, I hope) leads to this:

Hmmm..... Livewire has always been pretty meh for me....kind of annoying.

Livewire's last outing was pretty good, imo. They ended up as reluctant allies and I would like to see more of that, their relationship evolving away from strict adversaries.

The highlighted I like! Not so much Red Lantern Supergirl, especially since she couldn't cure herself the way she did in the comic. [BLACKOUT]It's been shown in-show that she can't survive space flight so there would be no way, other than a space ship, to get to the sun.[/BLACKOUT] Nor is this Supergirl in the mindset that drove that Kara to be susceptible to the Red Lantern Ring in the first place.
In a way, it's just Super Red Kryptonite.

I would love to see Power Girl make appearances on the show! Although, being older, maybe it should be Power Woman..? Kara could go to the wrong Earth with the key that Cisco gave her, be preceived as a threat by Power Girl until finally realizing they are nearly the same person with the same goals, in time for Supergirl to help Power Girl with a big threat on her Earth.

And on that Earth, Kara could have reached Earth with Kal as intended and we get a peak as to what that would have been like.

Also like the H'el Arc in the comics, though I think the best way to do it would be to have her Father arrive as Cyborg Superman and basically taking over the role of H'el.

Her last episode was the first time I liked her. It seemed like they were setting her up to be Kara's "Captain Cold," so I'd be interested in seeing them take her in that direction. But if she's just gonna keep being your basic catty villain she was in her 1st two appearances, then no thanks, I've seen enough of that.

I hope they rebuild Supergirl's rogues gallery with Livewire, Silver Banshee, Maxima, Bizarro Girl, Indigo, Reign, Psy, Jailer, and Non.

I'd like to see Indigo again. She was Supergirl's most mustache twirling villain. Even more so than Lillian Luthor.

Well, they better get better everything for her this time....makeup, costume, hair....that was knappy hair last time. If she comes back, just have her come back in human form and zap in and out of places like that. Cause that outfit made Red Tornado look good.

In my opinion....there is no need to bring anyone back from Season 1....there are enough villains out there to bring in new ones for Season 3, and we still have Lillian Luthor, now Psi and Reign, Cyborg Superman still could come back, actually looking like Cyborg Superman, and many others. No need looking backwards, I'd much rather look forward to all things new.

I could see Livewire making a return, the writers seem to like her.

Her powerset does make her an interesting challenge. I also thought the last episode with her was pretty solid.

I loved the way Indigo looked and that she stayed as Indigo through all three episodes instead of them getting cheap and having her look human half the time. She was one of the few aliens in the first season that looked alien.
And of the rest of the aliens that looked alien, they only had a few bit parts. Most everyone else was a human in a jump suit.

Maybe, but now that she has a gig on "Riverdale" that might be a problem getting her....OR because they are all filmed in Vancouver, maybe it won't be a problem getting her.... ;)

I would agree that it did look a little iffy, but for the most part it was a lot better than most others on the show. And I could quickly get tired of villains/aliens looking entirely too human. If they bring her back, which would be iffy seeing how she was clearly killed by Martian Manhunter, I would hope they keep the look and just refine it some.

Of course there are other Brainiacs out there...:cwink:

Indigo looked way worse than "a little iffy," imo. She looked downright horrendous. I don't know if I agree with Kelly that she made Red Tornado look good (an impossible scenario), but I do agree with her that we should leave these poorly-designed S1 villains back in S1 where they belong.

I dont know if you've seen The Ray trailer but they are sticking to the Superman rendition of the character for his animated form. Doesn't make things look any better.

But Tornado takes the cake imo for worst costume. He looked like a living carpet.

Still hoping they introduce Power Boy and Wonder Girl.

A lot more effort went into Indigo and Red Tomato than did Cyborg Superman. So season 2 had its duds too.
