And I got amazing video here on YouTube showing the crowd at the Drive-In.

NOTE: NO FOOTAGE of the actual movie is shown here. (Well except for the opening Warner Brothers and Legandary Pictures logos to proove it was THE DARK KNIGHT playing.)

My comment about this film is:

I'd like to see it at the drive-in.
A dying art, in my opinion.

I have a drive-in near me. I think that's a way I should see it before I head back to school.

The Dark Knight is playing at my local drive in...I hate the drive in. I haven't been there since MIIB. Strange, I saw Batman & Robin in the drive in...

That is awesome, I wish I could experience something like that. Unfortunately I can't drive and there isn't one for miles and miles

Thats funny you made a thread about this, Ive been talking about wanting to see TDK at a drive-in theater for a while now. I live in upstate NY so Ive still been looking but no luck. After 2 regular theater viewings and 1 IMAX viewing, I want to try something different and the Drive-in is classic. I saw 89 at the Drive-in on opening night when I was 5 years old, might as well continue the tradition!

Friend of mine saw it on Tuesday night in a severe thunderstorm and they had to keep the wipers on the whole movie. I told her she shoulda just gone home or NOT gone when they saw a thunderstorm in the forecast, too bad.

The first movie I ever saw at a drive-in was a Ghostbusters. Too bad there aren't any near me, I'd love to see it. I already had to go to on a 400+ mile drive to see it in IMAX. :csad:

ohhh so cool...ive been to 2 movies in a drive in and that was when i was a 6...my parents took me...good times...
i wanna see TDK at a drive in :(

ive only seen one movie at a drive in and that was batman returns. it was a good time and id like to watch a movie at a drive in again.

I love the drive-in! We go with our son and nephew almost every weekend. Although, the last couple have been hectic. Especially with watching TDK in IMAX and all. :) We'll probably go this weekend.

I saw it the second time (out of five) at the drive-in, with my family. It was their first time seeing it and I ended up having to explain half the movie to them because it was simply too dark to see a lot of it.

Generally though, I love the drive in. Dark Knight was just difficult due to it being dark in the first place :/

Haha, so last night my friends and I wanted to see the Dark Knight again and my friend who works at the theater couldn't get us in (TDK is still selling out!). Determined to see it we ended up going to our local Drive-In! Lot of rednecks, mosquitoes, ****ty sound quality, uncomfortable in the car, and crappy film quality, but I had a really fun time. I went from Imax, to regular (great) theaters, to drive-in. It was fun, though. My friends and I had a good time (Only paid $4 per person) and it was my sixth time seeing it. I had no idea that Drive-In (same Drive-In I saw Batman & Robin in when I was a kid!) had been around for 60 years.

There's a drive-in here in town(Poteau, Ok) called the Tower Drive-In. It's pretty cool since it's on a hill with a larger hill in the background. They haven't started showing The Dark Knight yet, but when they do I'll probably go see it. The nice thing about this one is that they usually have first run movies within a week or so of its opening weekend. Plus, they show a double feature on Friday and Saturday. It's $5 a person, which ain't bad for 2 movies. Concession stand prices are reasonable, but they ask you to not bring in outside food or drink because without the concession sales they would never be able to make a profit and keep bringing the newer movies. I think they offer a flat fee(less than $5) if you do decide to bring your own stuff. That's not a bad deal either. If anybody has a drive-in nearby, I would cherish them. They are the last of a dying breed.
