Seth Rogen’s Untitled Cancer Comedy Retitled ‘Live With It’

For the last two years or so, we’ve been reporting on Summit Entertainment’s Untitled Cancer Comedy, which was formerly titled I’m With Cancer. The movie finally has an official title: Live With It, clever eh?
The film is an autobiographical story based on the real experiences of screenwriter Will Reiser, a producer on HBO’s Da Ali G Show and VH1’s Best Week Ever, who was diagnosed with cancer in his mid-20s and successfully battled the disease over several years. Directed by Wackness helmer Jonathan Levine, the film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a 25-year-old who learns he has a rare form of terminal cancer.

His family and friends – from girl-crazy best buddy Kyle (Seth Rogen), to insecure girlfriend Rachael (Bryce Dallas Howard) and overbearing but loving mom (Angelica Huston) – attempt to help him through this process in the best way they know how…which is reflected in some of the most hilarious and bizarre ways ever. It’s about two men dealing with “friendship, love, and survival – in no particular order.”

My girlfriend managed to get me a copy of the script and after reading half of it I can say that this movie is going to be pretty funny.

Wow I thought this movie had been shelved. I've had cancer so I'm definitely interested in how they do this. Trailer looks awesome and it seems to border on the right line between being funny and sad. One to watch for sure.

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it. Performances were great all around including Angelica Huston, Phillip Baker Hall, Anna Kendrick and JGL. I'd say this was Joseph Gordon-Levitt's best performance to date and could possibly get some buzz come award season. Direction was great from Jonathan Levine...this film along with The Wackness showis a very very good start to a promising career...Also, like The Wackness, the soundtrack is fantastic.

Checking this out tomorrow, reviews are saying JGL is excellent. It's a comedy, but may very well have some Oscar buzz.
