The Skipper

Gilligan should be a fun light hearted comedy and be a goofy as hell. Of all the TV to movie adaptations this one is made just to be a screw ball comedy.

Skipper -John Goodman
Gilligan - Zack Braf
The Proffesor - Liam Neeson
Mary Ann - Kimberly Williams-Paisley

John Goodman would have been the ideal Skipper 10 years ago. But, nowadays he seems to be in poor health. He was awesome in Speed Racer, but in other recent movies he seemed kinda sickly.

Jeff Bridges as the Skipper is the most creative casting that I've seen thus far.

how about that dude from Chuck as Gilligan?

The fact that we applaud them doing the A-Team basically negates any gripes about future tv-to-big screen adaptations.

Val Kilmer as Thurston Howell. You know you love it.

So, who'll play Ginger? I remember a couple of years back hearing about Beyonce wanting the role.

If Christina Hendricks is good with comedic roles I can see her as Ginger.

If not, I think Amy Adams would be cute in the role.

Joel David Moore as Gilligan. (On the right)

He's been in Hatchet, Spiral, Dodgeball, Grandma's Boy, a few eps of the tv show Bones and Most Recently Avatar.

Rose McGowan as Mary Ann and Rachel Nichols (G.I.Joe) as Ginger.

John O'Herly as Thurston Howell

Ioan Grufford (Fantastic Four) as the Professor

She's an esteemed actress, but in interviews she has a pretty good sense of humor about things as well as herself, but if they could talk Helen Mirren into playing Lovey, this entire movie would be a straight win.

Even Entertainment Weekly has given their two cents on casting in the latest issue:

Gilligan - Andy Samberg
The Skipper - Phillip Seymour Hoffman
Mr. Howell - Stanley Tucci
Mrs. Howell - Christine Baranski
The Professor - Greg Kinnear
Ginger - Christina Hendricks
Mary Ann - Anna Kendrick

Pretty much good choices except for Christina Hendricks who's probably on the list because there aren't many redheads in Hollywood.

And she has a nice.......ummm....upstairs.

Andy Samberg looks like a dope and plays it well, I can't think of any other dopey actor, wait a minute.....

Michael Cera or Jesse Eisenberg would be perfect Gilligan's.
