Civil War Sharon carter A.K.A. Agent 13

In that brief apartment scene, there was already a spark between Steve and Sharon. Later, after Fury was shot by Winter Soldier, they didn't really have any real scene together except for that encounter at the corridor. When Nat suggested to Steve about calling up Sharon, his reaction was one of interest and not rejection. It's clear that Russo Bros. have a big plan for Steve and Sharon in CW.

As for the board itself, I don't see that many people against this idea aside from you. To claim that "everybody is disgusted with the idea" is hyperbolic and not factually based.

I agree with this. He was definitely into her.

And this is the typical sweeping generalisations that warhorse makes. Eg statements such as:

Fans aren't that excited about Ant-Man, so why should the general population be?

Or

No-one liked a quipping Spider-Man like Garfield, so we should all go back to the mute but "sweet" Spider-Man portrayal of Maguire which everyone preferred.

Which is why people shouldn't take her statements as representative of the facts or general opinion, especially when she's a self-confessed non-comic fan and these are her own opinions.

He only was intererested in Sharon because Black Widow kept on pushing it. As soon as he realized she had been lying to him, all that interest went out the window. So now, it looks like his interest will be rekindled because he's going to find out she is related to Peggy. It's disgusting.

And no, I don't like the idea of him getting it on with another member of Peggy's family tree, not very many people do. Have you not seen the boards or looked around? Everybody is disgusted with the idea. Leave it up to the comic books to take something simple and turn it into a contrived POS. It's why I don't like comic books, for the most part, they really suck for me.

I'm trying to convince myself that your incessant and overtly obtuse ranting is simply due to you having a warped sense of humor and that you're actually trying(unsuccessfully) to be funny... you know... kinda' like this guy:

Sadly though, I think you're being completely 100% serious... in which case, thanks a lot for essentially destroying any enjoyment the rest of us might actually get out of having a civilized discussion in here.

I have read a few posts that have expressed an interest in seeing a romance between Wanda and Cap. Can't see it myself (she was good with Vision in their brief scenes - they are suitably weird for each other) and it would literally be opposites attract!

I find it really hard to guess Sharon's role in CW. She could potentially be his girlfriend and/or assassin. It's also interesting that Evans is so vague about who Cap gets involved with in CW so maybe it will be something we really don't expect (instead of Sharon its BW, Wanda, Hill or Falcon :cwink:).

My guess is that there will be continued attraction with Sharon (since we are taking about Sharon), trepidation (re: the relationship to Peggy), and a complicated and possibly short-lived relationship. I'll accept whatever the movie gives if it is written and acted well.

It will be very surprising if there is a happy ending (other than, you know, a "happy ending" or two...maybe... nudge-nudge-say-no-more) because how can CW in general end happily. I don't believe that the MCU version will divert in that way from the CBU version. Although, if it ends like AoU where everything is wrapped up like a sitcom in a Christmas package, I'll cry foul a little bit.

From what I've read/observed of CE talking about his character over 4 movies, he seems to tread a very fine line between not saying anything spoilery and projecting his own character backstory thoughts onto Cap. But I think there is very little that he can say at this point that could be considered a true reveal. So maybe there is hope for some Steve/Sam/Bucky three-way slashing. Or magic time-traveling back his one true love.

KIDDING!!!!:woot:

I'm not saying I dislike the comic book character, but Emily VanCamp just doesn't fit. No chemistry with Evans. Sorry. They should have kept the actress at the end of First Avenger.

Do you mean Peggy Carter? The tragedy of Steve Rogers is that he could never get the girl he wanted back in WWII. If they reunite Steve and Peggy and let him have the happy ending then it won't be tragic, would it? I think Sharon should be the woman who gives Steve his happy ending.

So just because Peggy is sick and old they can't be together? If Cap really loved Peggy this shouldn't get in the way of him being with her in her last remaining days. The relationship doesn't have to be physical, but emotional and mental. She still has her lucid moments.
They can and they have it, we saw that in the Winter Soldier.

I think he's talking about the agent that Amanda Righetti, who appeared in the fake SSR/SHIELD recovery room that Steve ran out of and into Times Square, played.

As in be together intimately bf/gf. Steve asking out Sharon suggested he's not with Peggy romantically.

Emily VanCamp just doesn't fit. No chemistry with Evans.
Looks like seeing chemistry between people is subjective because like what other people have said there was a spark between them.

Now if only they can translate this cuteness to film.

haha guys as I said before. Ignore warhorse's post. It's usually just incorrect hyperbole/

I did a few weeks ago when she started whining in the AoU forums and it's made for a much better experience reading this forum.

Okay, I've never seen anybody suggested Agent Righetti before. I'm surprised that she is even mentioned since her role was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of cameo.

I assumed Righetti's character was Sharon when she was first introduced

I can understand not liking the actress but I think it's a bit of a reach to say he had better chemistry with a woman who had about a minute of screentime and whose presence only invoked hostility from Steve.

How do you know she had more chemistry with Evans or would have more chemistry? She was only in the movie about 30 seconds at most.

Why do you all care what I say anyways? You all are getting what you want, so why worry about what little ole me has to say on the matter? Does it worry you that I might be right on stuff or something? If you have complete faith in the producers/actors/writers and directors to bring out the best in the film, then you shouldn't worry about me. Look, despite the internet hating on him, I love Michael Bay and the majority of his work. I could care less that there is a very strong voice that opposes him on the interenet, in fact, their hate is pretty much voiceless because he is still cleaning up the BO with his films, and still getting to do what he loves, untested and unchallenged. No matter what the negative naysayers say. Perhaps you can have the same attitude that no matter what I say, it's still going to happen and it's still going to be a hit, making me completely irrelevant anyways.

Emily Blunt would've made a better Black Widow, and she's more suited for a lead role like Captain Marvel.

Keira? You're joking right? Personally, she's a terrible actress and I hate her pouty-faced acting and the way she sour-ly delivers her lines. I don't think you even know Sharon from the comics if you even suggested her.
.

I never read the comics, so I really don't give a crap what happens in the comics.
And no Kiera is a great actress, better than EVC.

So, basically, what you're trying to tell us is this:

You don't give a crap about what happens in the comics, but the movies you like are based on the comics...

"Kiera is not a great actress and is not better than EVC." There. I fixed that sentence for you.

They shared like one 30 second scene with each other. I'm sorry, but I call bullcrap on anyone being able to say that the have "no chemistry" based on such a tiny sample size.

Conversely, Evans only shared about a 30 second scene with Amanda Righetti at the end of the First Avenger, and yet people like kloker can think she would've been better to have brought back than EVC. :whatever:

It was longer than that and the entire scene was a chemistry test. What other purpose did it serve? The scene wasn't much shorter than the meet cute intro scene to Sam and that chemistry was electric.

They don't put chemistry test footage into a movie.. that's done in the casting process... the scene served as an introduction to Sharon, and to show that Fury had someone spying on him. Unless you are talking about the Amanda Raghetti scene... which served as intro of Steve into the modern world.
