Aaaaawwww ****! You might have just changed my mind! That kid's excellent!

I hope so, you guys are killing me. I have not seen real acting or story telling in movies for a very long time, a lost art if you ask me.
JB, do you know when Molale career began? The guy could be a late bloomer.
Whom ever play young Batson would receive most of the lines anyway.
Captain Marvel can have about the same amount of dialogue that Singerman had. Captain Marvel is not the lead character, SHAZAM and Billy Batson are.
Captain Marvel appears in time of crisis, disappear after he saves the day.
Not much acting chops required for the first film, Molale can pull it off.
Mr. Johnson we all know have the acting chops for the role.

Anthony Anderson for Black Adam

Your actually wrong. The producer himself said the premise of the film is Billy changing into Captain Marvel and not wanting to turn back into the kid (wanting to stay an adult....meaning CM will need get alot of screentime).

Does anyone else see the cast of the Mummy series continually popping up in these discussions?

Eve Mendez is all face and no acting. Isis should be able to be a little intimidating.

He also confirmed that silly cape:cmad: :woot: :whatever:

I thought that was just an ideal, on the direction the film may go.
I have a new choice an SR type actor for Captain Marvel : Luke Wilson.

And even as sad as Luke Wilson would be; he still has more acting skill than the Rock.

Justice's jab was soft like you're boy, The Last Buttercup of Krypton. :cwink:
TheComicbookKid don't worry yourself, I'm already reminded of him every second, SR haunts me 24/7. :woot:

That Buttercup would still mop the floor in acting with the World's Mightiest Marshmellow.:woot:

The irony is while Brandon's career is beginning, Rock's is winding down and his only claim to fame for acting after all his movies is his Teen Choice Award for "Choice Sleazebag"

Though his razzie nomination for Doom is something to boast about as well...

Brandon career, WHAT CAREER?
Who can disappear from public view faster than a speeding bullet? Brandon Routh can.

Okay! Justic Okay my friend lets not muck up this thread with nonsense.
You win! Brandon the best thing ever, Gotcha!

But Routh hasn't take the opportunity to at least appear in more films. Obviously SR didn't turn him into a headliner of films. But he should at least have done a few more smaller ensemble pics. I hope things turn out well for him no matter what the outcome is with SR2.

Rock hasn't really been able to expand beyond the musclebound actor because of his wrestling background. The Gameplan will be big for him if it does well. It would probably secure him as Captain Marvel actually. If it bombs, I don't expect New Line to be sure to hand over the reins to a guy best as a supporting actor.

Not the best thing ever... but the best Superman since Reeve. :word:

And Welling is his b1tch :p

Damn I'm trying really hard not to take it there with you but you had to say Reeve & Welling. IT"S ON!

You know that fairy routh a bottom b1tch.:oldrazz:

I have this feeling that if Mr. Dwayne Johnson cast as Captain Marvel. He will do more for Captain Marvel the character, than portraying Captain Marvel would do for his career.

Ah man, I can't even tell you guys how much more of a positive tone this thread has taken since I decided to put billy batson on ignore. Single best decision I've made since I decided to sign up for this site.

Was that really necessary?

I'm not sure how. I said before, as a minority myself, I'd be pretty pissed if I went to buy the comics of a character like me only to find out it's some silly white boy.

Where's that button again?:woot:

I actually could see Arnold Vosloo as Black Adam. Either him or Gerard Butler.

Oh god, not here, too!

I loved Gerard Butler in 300 as much as the next guy, but way to ruin a good thing with your constant "Gerard Butler would be perfect for _____!"

I might just pop everyone's bubble here and say that they might just go with a bunch of unknowns and try and do a Star Wars on us (with only one big-name cast member. In this case, my money is on Shazam... so, who's the pick - Christopher Lee, Ian Mackellen or Patrick Stewart?).

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if Dwayne got a role in this one too. Just thought I'd float the thought...
