wellsy, I understand your perfectionism; I also understand the whitebread origin of The Red Cheese.
I have always felt that the whole story of Shazam should have stayed with the Egyptian aspect of Shazam.
Shazam, Black Adam, Isis, Captain Marvel, and Mary Marvel should be of Egyptian descent (IMHO).
The “whitebread”ness of Shazam’s Captain Marvel always felt tack on to me.
Now to be true to the old relic of a story dated "WAY WAY back,back,back" in the 40’s, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is NO Captain Marvel.
Personally, I think the STUDIO has an OUTSTANDING / BRILLANT ideal of modernizing said character and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson fit the bill perfectly.

Brandon Molale is perfect for the role of Captain Marvel.

Indeed. The Rock is much more suited for Black Adam. I am very thankful he's not playing Captain Marvel. But... no one I can think of or have seen suggested really seems to have the look or essence of Marvel.

Yeah, and from what I've been hearing, Deadpool is directly involved in the new Wolverine film. Just a rumor that I heard recently, so you can take that with a massive grain of salt. Anyway, The Rock does look much more like Black Adam then Captain marvel, so maybe this is a good thing.

Just saw Brandon for the first time on That 70s Show. I can live with him as Cap.

As picky as it is, I'm a bit concerned about the hair. I've always like Ross's depiction of Cap as a "classic" guy, like a B&W movie star. Slicked back, wavy coif.

Nothing really to worry about..at this point.
