I would prefer him to be pure superhero.
Well, before we actually get somebody cast as the big red Cheese, what kinda Capn' Marv are we looking for? Are we looking for the boy trying to act like an adult version? Or the one that's a pure Superhero that already knows what to do and how to do it? I figure if you're gonna do the latter, then Morale, or even Johnson could probably pull it off with ease. If we're talking the former, and we're talking about a movie that explores some darker themes as the DC execs seem to want, then can either pull that off? This Orphan thrust into a world he may not be ready for. Having to come to the realization that he cannot save everyone. Like that scene in that Superman/Power of Shazam mini from a couple of years ago were Billy's friend gets killed and he totally breaks down and can't handle it. It's the version that probably has more depth. The hard role. If that's the case, can either of them fit the bill?

I feel like casting Brandon Molale is like casting that Steve Rogers guy as Captain America. He may look the part but if he cant act than why even consider him. I dont thinks outrageous to have problems casting Blazer from Dodgeball
That's a bit extreme. The difference between "Steve Rogers" and Molale is that Molale has at least has had small roles in films and TV that we can point to and get some sort of gauge for his ability and he's been around other actors who could vouch one way or another his ability. He didn't just drop wholesale from the sky with nothing backing him like "Rogers".
I understand why people wouldn't want to see him or be hesitant about him taking on the role but he's at least earned a legitimate shot; especially since the line for these major superhero roles where no established actor really seems to quite fit the role because of the baggage they might bring that creates that separation between seeing them as themselves as seeing them as the character is "Why can't they just get a decent unknown to play the role?"
Molale is exactly that and it would be no great crime if he got the role. Unless he sucked but that's a risk you take with every actor.

Who could possibly play Shazam?
^What do you guys think of Scott Mueller as Captain Marvel?
Who could possibly play Shazam?
I'm now convinced that Molale is perfect.
He knew that he already had the look but I wasnt sure of his voice as I hadn't heard it - after watching the bit of video where he plays the karate instructor;
I'm sold.
