Interesting....I guess the anime is really popular over there.

Just found out this is on Netflix Instant. Time to get busy. :awesome:

Has there been any news about the film for this? I remember around one year before the manga began, various studios interested in doing this property.

it's bigger than Naruto in terms of sales now

Only per volume, as a whole Naruto has still sold more, right now its volumes have been constantly selling less.

Just noticed the thread, I finished season 1 a few weeks back, but I really enjoyed it. The titans pull off a good creepy, and disturbed vibe. They're not black blobs, giant insects, don't have 3 rows of teeth, or 100's of tentacle arms. They're just giant, naked humans, but they do seem like a huge threat.

I can't wait for season 2. For season 1, I waited for it to finish, so I could marathon it all over a weekend. Now, I think I'm too impatient. I'll probably put this on a watch each episode as it comes out, or once a week deal like I do with my manga's. Most animes I let pile up, and watch in bulk.

If you're impatient for more you could allways try the manga

It is tempting, but there are certain series that I want to watch the anime version unspoiled. AoT is just so pretty and well done that the animes the version I want to go with. I'm afraid if I spoil myself on future events that the anime might lose some of it's impact.

The opposite happens as well of course. Plenty of manga's are superior to their anime counterparts. I'm sure the AoT manga is just as good, if not better than the anime. This time though I just plan on sticking with the anime.

I plan on picking up Deadman Wonderland though. After finally getting around to watching season 1 a bit back, and finding out it didn't do all that well, and probably won't get another season (not to mention some major characters were apparently missing), I'll probably read the manga for it eventually. Same with Hitman Reborn, the anime stopped with just one arc to go, so I grabbed the last arc (but haven't gotten around to reading it yet)

Finished watching it on Netflix today. Man what a show, finished it in a week. Can't wait for season 2.Whenever that happens.

I heard that the artwork for Attack on titan manga was bad, so you're probably not missing too much, this seems like the king of anime that is better than its manga counterpart.

I guess that a manga is usually better when its anime is weekly and long running, making the pacing get incredibly slow and the animation get worse (One Piece) or when it just cuts too much content (Magi)

Started watching this about a week ago, damn it's cool. I'm not a huge anime guy but I'm really enjoying the story and the action. Great world they've established.

I don't find the artwork for the Attack on Titan manga bad at all, but granted I'm not a manga artwork connoisseur. Honestly I like the style. It reminds me of Berserk in some ways.

My only problem with Attack on Titan is the pace. Answers come way too slowly.

Once you finish, if you're hungry for more with as good plots and characters then i suggest you ask some recommendations, because there are a lot of hidden gems in this media

I finally took the plunge yesterday, and marathon'd the first 16 episodes. Really do like it so far, up to episode 20 as of today.

Watched the series, I like it but have lots of questions they don't answer. :p I'll just shut up before the folks from the 'Last anime you watched' thread get me.

If you're asking for the things that release air in order for them to fly, then yes, we'll get you :o

Finished it yesterday, it was good but the pacing was really slow and some deaths felt like they were just for shock value.

I'm reading the manga right now and I'm nearly up to date. Man this whole series is just WTF all around. It's neat though with interesting twists.

greatest anime i watched so far wish there were another season for the show..:/

Obviously I'm a few years late on this but I just finished seasons one and two and now I'm kind of obsessed.
