For me the obvious answer would be Yes however I wouldn't be surprised if we get no Avengers in this film. I mean as far as Avenger cameos that make sense in a Shang Chi film...definitely I would have either Nick Fury and Maria Hill show up in a cameo or Black Widow assuming she even survives Endgame.

I don't think so. No Avengers showed up in Black Panther. I don't want it either that the Asian lead needs help from someone else, black or white, because he can't carry the movie on his own. We really don't need to fall into that again after it's been done so many times.

Or other side characters could show up too like Everett Ross

No.

Just because something takes place in the same universe doesn't mean every story has to feature in some way characters from previous films.

Given that it's the Mandarin in Shang Chi, I'm guessing we will see a flashback cameo of Tony Stark/ Iron Man at some point. But should it be a scene we've already seen, or a newly filmed one? Or maybe it will just be archival footage shot from a different angle so they don't have to get RDJ back for it specifically.

I'd like to see Everett Ross back. The U.S. State Department's unofficial diversity outreach coordinator.

No.
This movie should be as standalone and accessible as Black Panther.

I'll keep an open mind on this. It was very important for Black Panther to be his own guy, because even though he's an African monarch the film really spoke to the African-American political experience as well. The politics of being Asian-American are a little different, and I wouldn't be automatically offended if like Nick Fury showed up. Obvi someone like Black Widow or Doctor Strange would be very invasive, but Nick Fury, Happy Hogan and even Iron Man showing up in Spider Man's movies didn't mean Spider Man was emasculated.

I don't think he should be the Tolkein white guy in every film that has a POC as the lead.

No Avengers should appear, but it would be cool if the movie included Jackson Norriss and acknowledged what happened with Trevor Slattery.

Maybe Iron Fist can get a mention.
