Sequels Should Black Cat be the love interest in SM 4 and 5?

I believe Black Cat would be an excellent addition to these two new movies. It would take away the MJ factor and therefore bring on new ideas. Such as temptation and the notion of an alliance between the two. You can also have her play a role in Doctor Connors class. See if you bring her in as a love interest it would definitely downplay the romantic factor that sm1,2, and 3 had and give new oppurtunities for Peter Parkers character to go further then ever before. Just my opinion, what do you guys think?

Ps - the action sequences between the two would be amazing especially seeing them weave between buildings. WOuld be sooo cool

I don't know how she will fit in Sam's version of Peter's World. I mean, Peter does not have the personality in Sam's version to even be attracted to anyone outside of MJ. That's the way he made the character. She would be useless in these adaptions of the web-slinger.

I dont know man, i have to disagree with that, you saw how he was attracted to gwen and betty(sure he was in black suit but its still him). Plus Sam envisioned Peter as being just a normal kind of guy. Normal guys get attracted to other women especially if there complete opposites of the women theyve known their whole lives (MJ and Felisha). With Vanderbilts writing i think it could work.

Well we just have to agree to disagree, because Peter, with the Symbiote, was in tears when MJ said I'm gone... that's who he is under Sam. Betty & Gwen was a by-product of the suit.... Peter didn't give a hoot about them.

It's all about MJ under Sam.

So i guess Im saying if i had to choose i would take felisha for these next two movies rather then MJ, if kirsten doesnt comeback it may just influence this decision

This love triangle bullshiz is killing me. I wouldn't mind Felicia Hardy being introduced as a college mate or teacher. But in no way should we ever see Black Cat, she'd basically be Catwoman in a Spider-Man film. That's free promotion for the next Batman movie.

Ok Luke1234, I guess I get what you are saying; however, I said it before and I say it again... Sam should have never started with MJ and any love interest at this point would be going backwards. In the comics Peter has seriously dated, had major flings, and some infatuation with many women before settling with MJ and she was one. Once he settled with MJ, that was it. She was it.

Sam should have follow the comics. Maybe than we would not be stuck with just MJ and would have had the opportunity over a series of films to see other characters brought to life on the big screen whether they were a love interest or not. That why I think Gwen was more Eddie being mad at Peter more than some kind of chemistry between the two..... which was a useless waste, imo, of her character.

So if Black Cat was in one of these films, it obviously would be more of a unresponsive tease to Spidey, than a love interest or triangle with Peter.

See, that's the beauty of writing, you can change that with the stroke of a pen. But you have to have someone to break the rules that Raimi hold dear to him. Yet, another reason why a new director is needed.

Yes, that maybe true; but as of right now, it looks like we still have Sam Raimi, and he is not going to break his own rule, that he holds in high regards.

No, absolutely not. I don't have anything against Black Cat, but in "SM 4," presumably a sequel in the Raimi universe, yet ANOTHER temptation and love triangle would be ridiculous. SM3 left the movie universe in a terrible position. There's just nowhere else to go.

Peter was already extremely depressed about not having MJ in SM2. She's the only girl for him, the love of his life. Peter actually jeopardizing his relationship with MJ in SM3 was just ridiculous given what we had seen before. It made him look like a fickle moron. How much worse would Peter look if he's tempted AGAIN in SM4?

The Spider-Man movie series needs to just end, wait a few years, and then reboot. Barring that, no more overused love triangle crap.

I could literally work any one of Spider-Man's supporting characters/villains into the films as they are. But I just wouldn't use a character like Black Cat. Felicia Hardy, yes, but why would anyone want an exact replica of Catwoman running around in a Spider-Man film is beyond me?

Felicia Hardy is a great supporting character by herself. I always liked the character before Marvel decided that they needed a Catwoman too. Selina Kyle/Catwoman is the original, it's a natural flow, so I wouldn't want to see one without the other. Black Cat seems forced on Felicia Hardy like date rape.

We don't know if Gwen will be back... Peter with Betty at this point doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I mean it would still be interesting but still. I don't see them recasting Gwen though after just one film. So we'll get Felicia or someone for sure.
