Spoiler warning I guess.

Do you guys think it would be cool to see peter Dinklage return as bolivar trask for xmen apocalypse? I think it would be great if apocalypse agitated the conflict between humans and mutants with magnetos brotherhood on one side, bolivar and the humans on the other and the xmen caught between before finally they all have to team up to take on apocalypse.

What do you think?

He's in prison, and I'm not interested in Trask anymore.
Bring supervillains, no villains.

I'd love to see Trask back. I agree that the human villains are often too prominent (Stryker, for one), but Dinklage was phenomenal and underused in DOFP. He has a commanding presence on screen, which is rare in average-height actors. Also, it wouldn't hurt to continue portraying a small person seriously on the big screen. I'm very glad they didn't play into that at all. You know Michael Bay would've thrown a short joke somewhere, but Singer had a great deal of respect for Dinklage as an actor and a human.

I'd even venture to say that he and Brian Cox have been the only really compelling human villains thus far in the series.

As much as I like him in GOT, he was kinda OK in DOFP, a bit boring at times, so no, don't bring him back

Actually he should have one scene where he asks Magneto "is that a new cape? It's nice" :funny:

I think yes, Peter Dinklage is really famous these days, he brings people from Game Of Thrones to watch X-Men movies. Also I loved how he portrayed Bolivar Trask in DoFP.

If casting someone from Game of Thrones makes the Game of Thrones fans watch X-Men movies then Fox could just cast Richard Madder in a X-Men film.

or should we see a young version of, Bill Duke's Trask... who takes over Trask ind. in, Dinklage's Bolivars absents (after being arrested) bringing it to full circle (to explain his appearance in x3)

:oldrazz:

Yeah I thought about too. But I don't know if we are gonna see Trask Industry again. They probably shut it down when Trask was sent to jail.

Of course. It's Peter freaking Dinklage, after all.

Id like to see him back, but a bit later. He is no needed in Apocalypse, so if Fox plans another sequel set in the past, they could use him again there, and it would be news, with 'Peter Dinklage returning to X-Men franchise' and the like, so that would be cool and good promo

There are so many characters and stories from the comics and so few films that it seems like a waste to repeat them.

That's why I'm annoyed that Stryker keeps popping up again and again (and most likely again).

This and the fact that marvel has played the sentinels over and over again to death in the comics.

We got proteus
We got sinister
And much more...

Agreed.

I think his job is done. More likely to have a sentinel cameo than dinklage

maybe the sentinels will be part of the danger room now, that would be a good way to use them again

admittedly you would be like huh? how did they get them back to the mansion... but same could be said about building the subbasement in general

^yes like the idea of sentinels in the danger room. All ways a good thing

That's why I want Forge on the X-Men to upgrade the mansion. He could make the Danger Room tech closer to X3 levels

Maybe, but I felt he was largely played out in DoFP. Maybe if they were to set up Bastion and his sentinels as the villain (and maybe show a proper version of Nimrod as precursor).

Though an alternative I could see him back if they had Graydon Creed (with an appearance by Sabretooth) and Friends of Humanity privately fund an underground sentinel programme, but I prefer Bastion.

I mean he warned everyone about mutants in DoFP. The government is going to need a response to Apocalypse level of destruction unless everyone is mindwiped or something.

This movie has to lead into Mutant Registration

How can people compare Trask to Magneto?
Go and watch Adventures of Trevor, no more Trask and his story in prison!
