Sequels Should JASON become a villian?

Jason needs to become a villain under the mentor of Brainiac or Darkseid. Bwahahahaha!!! And maybe because of his mix of DNA he can develop some type of new powers...

maybe he doesn't have super strength and the traditional powers of a kryptonian, but advanced telekineses and telepathy. We never saw him physically push the piano...maybe he moved it with his mind...and when he said he saw superman in the ocean...maybe he mentally saw him with his telepathy!

If he does that, he is then going against his own movie. The point of Jason in SR is to show that Superman is not alone. If he makes him a villain, he is then alienating Superman once again. I don't see Singer doing this. I didn't like SR, but I see what he was going for, and this is something I doubt will happen.

I think he's still alientated because someone else is raising his son. Jason doesn't even know who his father is, and realistically won't until he is old enough to undertand HOW someone else besides Richard could be his father. So I don't see how he's not still alienated and alone. He has a son he can't raise and who doesn't even know that Superman's his father.

It's just depressing and sad.

What kind of villain and why would he. Do we really want to see Supes battling his own son. Put a real villain in the movie please.

For your answer Venomsmom...refer to the my 1st post that opened this thread.

I would not mind any story line that gets him killed because the aidea of an accidental birth between an eartling and a kryptonian bothers my sensibilities.

However, given my statement above is just some childish ranting against something not in my purvew to change, I would suggest a story where his powers tend to be more mental especially as he seems to be suffering physically from asthma and other such maladies.

Superman against Damien the Omen. A pissed off 7 year old wanting revenge for being lied to. I don't think it would work.

Now I'm not saying I approve of this idea, but I did read a rumor(and that's all it may be) that Jason grows up and by the 3rd film is Bizarro(or Bizarro-like).

Who said the kid was lied to? Two things make me think that he knows exactly who his dad is.

1. When he used his powers he seemed apologetic; kinda like his mom was fully versed and trained him on how to reel them in.

2. In the hospital we saw Lois making sure that he couldn't hear, but I am pretty sure Jason has super senses and heard the whispers.

^ in some scene's, ya, it did seem like, him and Lois kinda went out of they way to cover up things that he can do, and I kinda felt, that the "he's such a fragile alil boy" line, him using the inhaler and take vitamins all the time, may of been to put on a show for people, so, no one thinks anything of it (that’s probably also why she started dating Richard right, after he left, so, she could claim that its his kid, but, why she never married him)
though, I duno, if he necessarily knew superman was his dad, just that he was different, and though, he probably heard of him, or knew of him, he basicly grew up in a world without superman

If done right it could be interesting formula. Thats only if they did it right. I would rather jason become the next superman,I want so bad for them to do a superman v. doomsday movie(3rd installment). This could be a good setup for jason to takeover supermans role..

Reminds me of Superboy Prime. Hey! Maybe he could punch reality a few times and have Superman's suit suddenly be brighter. That might make everyone who's complaining about the suit just shut up.
The dark colors suit him. Its not like he was that noble of a superhero anyway. Just look at what he's about to do to this innocent little boy.

He grows up, different, odd, alone....sickly. Finds out his parents are lying to him about who he is. All the while his powers grow and grow..then he snaps. Total disdain for life...for truth, justice and the American way! Like an ANTI-CHRIST. I keep thinking of the Damien character from The Omen, only Jason can be much more sinister AND with true superpowers!
Maybe, as the movie climaxes to a violent end, Superman is forced to make a hard choice: Does he save his only son? Or, does he have to kill him to save humanity? YEAH!!
Seems like a good idea for a miniseries but I don't know about going all the way though. Although comic book writers have definitely made dumber story changes in the past.

for the love of God, yes... there is so much stuff you can do when you use something that personal against Superman. It can make for an epic battle or a gripping beating that he can't do anything about... that is the kind of beating that I could get behind Superman not begin able to fight back.

In my personal MOS storyline...

Jason is brainwashed and genetically enhanced into this walking monster of muscle by Brainiac, who takes Jason as a mindless bodyguard. Superman is taken back by what he sees, and Jason and Brainiac just wail into him for the first fight. Superman retreats to the FoS and trains with the Eradicator while Brainiac capture Lois and Richard. Lois helps Jason recover part of his humanity by simply loving him like a mother should, and at the end, Superman sees what appears to be Brainiac killing Jason... but of course he doesn't die.

there is so much you can do when a family member is the villain.

This's like asking if Lex Luthor should be a real estate salesman. Obviously no.

That could work.

ugh Singer ruined the franchise...now they need a complete reboot...lois is a tramp...superman is an absentee father...jason is raising a kid he thinks is his...there's nothing about any of this that shows what superman is supposed to be about...

I think this is about the lamest thing they could do with this franchise. Jason as a villain? WTF?

If they somehow continue this story, he should be murdered by the next film's villian.

Superman vs The Son of Superman lol. Sounds like a mad TV sketch.
