Should Peter get his ability to keep all of the powers he takes back? They could handle it differently. For example. He used to be able to absorb the ability by just being near the person. Now he has to touch them.
Just feel their needs to be someone to go toe to toe with Sylar.

The writer felt Peter was too powerful so they made it now he can only absorb one ability at a time. This is the same reason Hiro becomes ill and has a problem using his powers.

Peter's had some decent fights with Sylar but there is potential for something better.

They are finally writing Peter in a way that doesn't make him seem like an incompetent idiot 24/7, so I say no. Leave his power the way it is now.

no one has yet to have a decent fight in this show lol

I don't want Peter to be the guy to go up against Sylar. If Sylar goes down, I would prefer it to be a group effort. The season 1 finale disappointed me so badly in that regard. When the heroes were coming together in Kirby Plaza, I expected it to be for something other then to stand back while Peter fights Sylar.

I'm glad Peter lost his powers because he was always too powerful and was written like a moron to make sure he didn't resolve the events in the story too quickly.

one reason i think there should be more than one villain considering they already screwed Sylar up showing that he can be good having a kid and all in the future. I still think that in the end it should be Peter killing sylar

That would be cool . Does Peter still think Nathan is alive ?

nathan called peter a bunch of times in the premiere so ya he knows hes alive, well he think nathan's alive and not sylar-nathan w/e u wanna call him

I'll agree with the fact that this is the best that Peter has been written, so it would be a shame for that to change in the event that he gets his old power back. However, it's still a tough pill to swallow knowing that he lost his original power due to the writers inability to create a good story arc for him, and all the while, Sylar keeps all of his power even though he was supposed to be killed at the end of Season 1.

I would like for them to give him his old power back so Peter and Sylar can have an onscreen all out fight before this show gets cancelled.

Sylar is a villain though. It makes sense to make an antagonist powerful so that he becomes more of a challenge for the heroes to overcome.

And think about it, Peter at full power and written properly would be the most powerful character on the show. He can time travel, heal, shoot lightning, turn invisible, control minds, go nuclear, use super speed, use super strength, etc. Even Sylar doesn't have as many abilities as Peter. And no other villain in the show could even hope to even touch Peter at full power. What could Adam, Danko, Samuel, anyone do against someone like Peter. Danko couldn't even stop Sylar, and if Sylar wasn't a bad guy too the season would have ended right then and there.

i like they way he is right now. maybe add a second power ability. maybe.

just cuz i dont like when he needs a different power he loses the one he had before.

The reason I like him right now is because he seems to be Mastering his newly aquired abilities very quickly know which was always a problem with him when he had tons of powers.... maybe a powerset of 5 would be cool... but 2 would be cool aswell.... what happens if he absorbs Sylars powers? Does he aquire Empathy again?

He already absorbed Sylar's powers at the end of Volume 4. Apparently he can choose which one he can replicate. Maybe that means he might be able to replicate Sylar's Empathic Mimicry if that hasn't been completely retconned.

that would be something he can do to *crosses fingers* finally finish Sylar off. and then magically all those powers go away. forever.

Part of me does want Peter to get his powers back. In season 1, it really felt like they were setting him up as the Superman of the group, but a lot of that went to hell in seasons 2 and 3, when they made him whiny and angsty. I like that old Peter is reemerging a bit this season.

Well, if they are going to keep Sylar. Then maybe he needs to be powered down a bit. Or at least he looses the ability to take the powers from others. He is just getting to powerful and soon a group of heroes won't be able to take him down.
