No more Sandman,but it is a bit confusing. He "flies" away at the end of 3 and is obviously still alive. So,now what? He just lives in some secluded apartment somewhere in New York or something? He never really paid for his crimes either. I guess that Spidey will just forget about him in part 4.

my guess, he'll find a place near the beach and hide there.

Well, even if Marko unintentionally killed Uncle Ben, you really wouldnt want Spidey to become too chummy with the guy. Last thing we need is a series of sequels with Spider-Man and Sandman teaming up on a regular basis as pals ala Rush Hour.

Sandman served his purpose. He can only return if it was Sinister Six and IMO it would be interesting for someone to hold a treatment or cure to his daughter's disease but won't get it if he doesn't join the Six. Perfect way for Doc Ock to show his TRUE master planner skills and persuasion
