Sequels Who else wants Sandman back?

Well, we all know that Spider-Man was able to forgive Sandman at the end of SM3 and overcome his revenge. Great. However, Sandman's side of the story wasn't fully resolved. He still needs to help his daughter. What's to stop him from trying to steal more cash in the future? And what's to stop Spider-Man from trying to stop Sandman from breaking the law? Yeah, they understand each other now and Spider-Man won't try to kill Sandman anymore - but I had enough sympathy with Sandman in SM3 and I still would like to see him save his daughter somehow. Does anyone else think he should return in SM4?

Nah. Hopefully a scene from the novel will be put in an extended edition, where a doctor tells Marko that no amount of money can cure his daughter.

WTF? By no means should he be a sidekick to Spidey. But Sandman did not accomplish his goal in SM3, so logic would dictate he would keep trying until he does.

We don't need to see the same villains in the previous movies come back,there are lots of other villains that haven't even made it to the screen yet.

Have Ock blackmail him into joining the Six, like in Return of the Sinister Six. Except Ock threatens Sandman's daughter, instead of the family he's boarding with.

^ That would work. Only problem with it is that the movie's version of Sandman, he could totally lay waste to Doc Ock. He could take out anybody just by burying them if he wanted to... good thing they gave him some heart...

Have Uncle Ben form a snister six to get revenge on peter for not doing the right thing, which was letting the killer go, even though he turned out to not be the killer, then reveal its not the real uncle ben, but a fake uncle ben who killed the real uncle ben. Back on topic from my sarcastic ranting, Sandman sucks, no one likes him or cares about him, keep him away from future movies. And yes I realize for all the literalstopo here, that obviously some people like him, and to those people, congrats maybe 200 people world wide like him.

I like that. Or, he could offer Sandman a cure* for his daughter's illness if he would assist him in killing Spider-Man. We don't even need four others. Those two together would give Spider-Man the beating of his life.

However, I'd rather have just Lizard as the villain in part 4, thank you.

*Unless there is a part of the novel in the DC (or whatever will come out) where the doctor explains that no amount of money could finance a cure for her illness.

Sandman should make another appearance, as he still has a little more plot left...and, as it were, that scene may have been cut out for a reason...

Sinister 6, would be the only reason to bring back Sandman, for the last and final movie (SM6), that ends the contract between Marvel/Sony.

Yeah he'll be back... "Ock Still At Large" was no coincidence... that headline didn't make the final cut in SM 2 right? That's why it was used in SM3 just to keep it up in the air... and because Sandman's arc wasn't completed there is a good chance he'll be seen again at the end of SM5 to setup a Sinister 6. Just check out the sig... it's all going to fall into place.

Hey i got 155 friends on myspace and 172 on Facebook, with probably only an overlap of 30 or so, so sandman narrowly beats me. Comic book Icon *cough* over College Student/DVD store clerk. Stellar job by Sandy. I bet Paste Pot Pete and Stiltman got us both beat though. I hear Big Wheel, White Rabbit, and Walrus are some popular cats as well.
