Iam talking about Al Pacino's Scarface.

The original was Hot. I would love to see a modern version or maybe it could continue with "Elvi" giving birth to Scar Face Jr?

No it doesn't need a sequel. If you want a what if scenario play the game that came out a few years ago.

Only if it's a comedy and it's renamed Scarf Ace.About a gangster who loves Scarves.

It certainly does not need a reboot or remake of any kind. Basically, remakes suck!

To be honest, Al Pacino's Scarface was already a remake. :)

A sequel. It would be less insulting than remaking the remake (although if they did have the gall to do that, I wouldn't mind seeing Bencio in a suit shooting off an uzi).

If anybody were to play Tony Montana Jr. though, I think Johnny Depp would be the only guy that I think could convincely pull it off. He's got the acting chops, dark character experience, and pretty boy looks to make it work. Knowing the studio though to try to connect with today's kids, they would cast Pitbull.

Hollywood doesn't know when to quit making remakes or reboots. They need to start making original movies.

And exactly why do they "need" to start making original movies, when only this year we've seen Harry Potter, Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean making over a billion dollar each? And the seven biggest movies worldwide this year so far are all sequels? Sorry, but nothing will change as long as the majority of the moviegoers rather spend their money on something familiar. It's sad, but that's how the world is.

You have a good point there.

But there was always a first time for everything.

TF and HP can still qualify as "safe," since they already had a built-in audience; but POTC was a huge gamble in territory that had lain dormant since pretty much the 60s, and that paid off big time. You don't get to "On Stranger Tides" without "Curse of the Black Pearl."

If they ever did another remake they should make it closer to the Howard Hawks version from 1932. I'm against most remakes, but I could actually see that one working.

I'd stay away from the Brian De Palma version. There isn't really much they could do differently with that to update it and make it worth while. Film hasn't changed that much since 1983 where it could be improved upon, certainly not in comparison to 1932.
