So I know there are other threads on what the 3rd one should be about but they mostly focus on additional villains/the villains assuming two-face is dead, not this exactly

anyways, I was thinking that for the 3rd one, Nolan should do what he did in BB (Henri Ducard/Ra's al ghul being the same person) and to a lesser extent in TDK.... use a name or idea almost as a cover as something else

so my idea is to have some random killings of cops by a guy who wears a blask mask and is secretive about it; they even call him the black mask because they have no idea who he is. When he makes his decision whether to kill or not, the camera turns away or he turns away from the victim to make his choice

then have Batman smash the mask halfway through the movie and reveal that it is actually two-face. When Batman says (the dialogue will be better, but this is just a general idea) that he thought that Harvey died, two-face can respond that Harvey is dead and he is two-face, not Harvey... and/or he can respond something like "What? Do you honestly think Jim Gordon is the only one who knows how to fake his death?"

You could have Batman defeat two-face and the fact that the killings were made by two-face instead of Batman could come to light and show the redemption theme....

I don't really care much about who the second villain might be but think that the guy who worked at Wayne Enterprises and found out that Bruce was Batman could become the Riddler and his point in the movie would be to leave riddles for Batman to find Black Mask/Two-Face, leave riddles for him to find out Batman is Bruce Wayne, and serve as a larger menace threatening to expose to Gotham that Bruce is Batman.

But if it is too weird having Two-face and riddler in a 3rd batman film again or some other reason, I don't really care much about who the secondary character might be except to say that I think Poison Ivy could work well as an attractive terrorist who kills mobsters with her biological toxins.

That's actually not a bad idea on the Black Mask angle.

I don't think a Riddler/Face movie would work well, though. Personally I think he's dead, but a Face/Catwoman or Riddler/Catwoman film would work better than the two male villains together. The Penguin could realistically fit into either story as the next major mob boss.

I like that. I like that a lot, aside from the Reese - Riddler. I'd like to have Two-Face as the main villain. With the occasional goon here and there.

Sounds alot like The Judge though. And Roman Sionis is the Black Mask, you can't have Black Mask without Roman. Unless, you just have it where Two-Face kills Roman and steals his mask. If Harvey comes back I would rather have him as The Judge or hell he could even become The Red Hood and then reveal himself as Two-Face and tells them that Harvey is indeed dead and Two-Face is now in control but I really doubt he'll be coming back because I think Nolan intended Two-Face to die because he saw nowhere else to take the character and also he wanted to show Two-Face's fall from grace and than both Bruce and Gordon try and restore his good name and memorialize him as a hero not a villain.

That is a good point... but I just think the Judge seems way too fake (unless they seriously modify somethings about the look )to convey to a Nolan film, among other problems

I agree that Sionis is Mask... I was just saying to use it as a cover-name kind of like how Ra's pretended to be Henri Ducard even though that it someone else in the comics who trained Bruce... I figured it would be a good way to continue the two-face story while keeping it interesting and still have a smaller (relatively) villain (design wise anyways) who wouldn't necessarily be a director's first choice....

then again, when I first started collecting years ago I hadn't even heard of Black Mask until I read about him in some random comic, and now with him having been on The Batman and playing a huge role in war games, etc. almost everyone knows who he is... so who knows what the future has for some of the "smaller" villains

I suppose you are right about him not coming back though... just think it is odd they haven't done more with him
