Since the Howard the Duck was considered one of the worst movies ever, should they ever attempt to make another movie based on that character?

They can never match the greatness of the original so why try?

I can think of a few others that were worst

only if it's a hard "R" with lots of Beverly in the buff!

I'd love to watch a really spacy, animated TV series about Howard. Maybe on Adult Swim

I'd say that right now Howard would work best as an animated short, like DC has done before their DTV films.

The original just had a completely wrong tone. It could be done much better.

But "Snakes on a Plane" could be done better as well. Just because the original could be improved doesn't mean there's a real reason to put any effort into doing so.

I honestly can't see much market in a film. Not even because of the atrocity from the '80s. I don't see Howard working on a massive scale, and he's not the most popular character. But an animated series adapting storylines like the MAX series from a few years back and being a tongue in cheek superhero parody could work wonders.
