Should they make another Blade movie? What should do with it, if they do?

Blade has had his movies, they were average at best. Their isn't much interest in the character anymore. I'd say leave it. Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, The X-Men, Spider-Man those are the ones that capture the interest of audiences.

I actually havent seen any of the blades.....are they good?

The first one, yeah.

The second one, is ok. Not bad, it's like hellboy, except without the cooler creatures or the great cast. Except for get this, Luke goss & Ron Pearlman, lol.

The third one is... it just is.

To wash the pasty aftertaste of Blade Trinity out of my mouth, I want to see another Blade movie with just Snipes. Plus I don't give a damn how but find a way for Whistler to return again. Blade must also battle Dracula again and this time, it won't be a fight scene intercut with Van Wilder fighting HHH.

:applaud

Well put.

I'd rather not see Dracula again though..maybe Morbius...?

I loved the first two. The third, not so much. I also enjoyed Blade the Series, which is a loose continuation from the films.

I also would love to see another Blade movie. Not only that a crack at another Blade solo comic MAX series.

Blade is simply a fantastic movie. It works as a horror, an action movie, a comicbook adaption and a unique combo of the three. It's a very rare case of a movie that is exactly what it was intended to be. Wesley Snipes is as perfect a Blade as Reeves as Superman. He is the character from his first appearence onscreen.

Blade II is perhaps not as perfectly formed, but is equally entertaining. It turns the horror weirder and freakier, gets a bit more 'comicbooky' (the explosions were given Kirby dots) and delves onto a bizarre vampire underworld the first film only suggested. Also the climactic battle with Nomak is as dramatic as you'll see in any comicbook movie ("It hurts....it hurts no more").

Trinity features none of the bizarre monster stuff of the second movie, it's more urban and plays more like a TV movie version of the first movie. Making the intriguing Nightstalkers (decendents of Van Helsing, Dracula, etc) into a kung-fu Sooby Doo team is a huge waste. It is entertaining enough, just lacks any real ambition. It has the worst screen version of Dracula ever, amazing as it came out the same year as the awful Van Helsing movie. Trinity's Drake-ula is so unlike Dracula that there is no point even calling him that. He's more like a WWE wrestler, which is only made more obvious by actually having a WWE wrestler in the movie.

Overall I would say it's one of the most consistant movie trilogies ever made. It's a shame that there will likely be no more (atleast with Snipes), that the Tomb of Dracula version of Dracula was completely wasted, and that Morbius was never really used (except in the unused Blade ending). But still, great stuff.

I agree with most of the above points, but regarding Dracula in Trinity, I think the point was to make him different than what we had seen before. I think that was the whole reason they had Drake go to the vampire store and see all of the commericalized representations of him. I also think that's why the altered his appearance-giving him that monstrous, reaper-like and cool, look, tied him to the god Dagon, and called him Drake instead of Dracula.

Yeah, Goyer lets you know what he thinks of the traditional Dracula depiction in the first few minutes - 'some creepy old guy in a cape'

I'd love to see them redeem the franchise with Snipes back as Blade.

But based on Trinity they're obviously out of ideas.

If they can think of something completely wild and fresh then make it so. Otherwise let it die.

For new ideas, I think they need to look beyond Goyer. He was great initially but I wonder if the pull of the Nolan Batman films, his other director/producer responsibilities took away his focus from Blade. Besides, Trinity was more a launching pad for a proposed Nightstalker franchise than a way to truly close out the Blade franchise.

Some new creative blood at the helm would be nice. Wouldn't mind seeing Wesley back though. However, as the years press on, I wouldn't mind seeing someone else step into the role either if the project is right.

all of the vampires except for blade were killed in trinity right? maybe for a forth they could have blade struggling with his thirst, worrying about starting a new outbreak if he succumbs, adding a more psychological aspect to the series (i think, never saw the second one, so if that was pretty psychological let me) meanwhile the familiars could be trying to restart the vampirism plague as well, attempting to create a genetically engineered vampire, enter morbius. Thoughts?

Actually in Blade the Series, which is a loose continuation, vamps did survive. The Daystar virus wasn't really discussed, but it appears not to have lived up to its advertising.

Though I like many of your ideas. In one of the alternate endings of Trinity they did hint, at least to me, that Blade might go dark.

I wouldn't mind Del Toro making more Blade movies. I really liked Blade 2.

Now that Marvel is finally melding their world.....Hulk ,Iron Man ,Capt. America, & Thor, all eventually into the Avengers. Marvel should really consider Blade , Ghost Rider & possibly Moon Knight sharing the same universe in movies, leading them to a Sons of Midnight team. To me sounds like a supernatural team of heroes would be a sleeper hit.
