Showering, how often?

I normally shower once a day.

But sometimes I'm busy or not home or don't feel like it, so I can skip a day or two. No biggie, I just toss on deodorant and go about my life.

The longest I've gone is 5 days. But I did jump in a hotel pool to "wash off"

Once a day every morning usually before work. Unless I go out at night, in which case I'll shower later in the day. But on the occasion when I'm home all day, I won't shower at all. I don't stink after not showering for a day, and besides, it's a waste of soap, shampoo and water to shower just to go back and lounge around the house.

LOL, I am not trying to start ****, but all us black people that ever had that one white roommate, they always showered or bathed like every other day, didn't they?

Hmmn…. I know white people tan much more easily than black people, because black people have much more melanin. I wonder if that extends to dryness and irritation of skin in general. Maybe it's also why the white people tend to skip showers because of skin irritation, while it seems the black posters in this thread don't (and can't understand why white posters have a habit of doing that).

I think certain white groups shower/bathe more than others. Not trying to be racist or anything.

I feel those who descend from Southern Europeans shower more than those from Northern or Western Europe. As for Americans it really is a toss up. Most people shower but I've worked in retail and I can tell you I've gotten a wide range of people who smell like ****.

African American clientele were the ones with the least amount of body odor whereas certain other ethnic groups needed a good bath, deodorant and cologne bathing.

I work hard and sweat accordingly so I gotta shower at least five days a week. Though, my skin does dry out horribly this time of year, especially if I let the water get too hot.

We should keep in mind that there are medical conditions that cause body odors. For instance one creates a strong odor of fish and it doesnt matter how often the person bathes they will still smell. Its unfortunate. So if you smell someone, as unpleasant as it is, just keep in mind that it may not be their fault.

Once a day, but if I hit the gym I will take an additional shower afterwards. If you do not shower at least once a day, just cause you don't notice a smell, doesn't mean others around you won't.
