Nyahhhh... I wouldn't mind if they did go down the Firefly route but it's not like it's necessary or anything. Byond SPeech and musical score, what noises would we hear anyway? GL rings don't make a sound (except Kilowog)

What I meant was that they might make Legion roar and the rings go, "pew pew"
Then again, Space seems more intermidiatory here. Most of the action is on Earth or Oa
That's only from the 1st draft though. We might get more scenes in space...

What happens if Hal farts in Space?

The audience would laugh. That sounds like something Jack Black would do if he were GL. As far as sounds in space, it might be a toss-up. My opinion says that it should be like Star Wars, where you hear the sounds but it is actually the sound that is heard by the pilot and crew within the space vehicles. On the other hand I think "Superman IV" (as well as Superman I and II) set a president for handling space action in the DC film universe:

didn't they still have sound effects in star trek? like when they came out of warp at vulcan and they were dodging stuff...and then when the enterprise suddenly warps in at the end, phasers blazing to save spock...

i do appreciate the shows and movies that reflect the realism of space in that there's no sound...however, i'm willing to suspend my disbelief (i'm an engineer, so i do like realism when it comes to stuff like space) because it is cool to see massive space battles with sound...like star wars...star trek...it's fun that way haha
