Silverhawks : The Reboot that should happen

As a child of the 80s and growing up with cartoons like Tundercats and He-Man, I also loved The Silverhawks . This show had a great concept and in a world where The Power Rangers has had some success on the big screen I think the SilverHawks could really follow . I'd love to see this show rebooted with a movie and possibly even animated series . Honestly at this point I think I'd settle for IDW to publish a reboot comic since they been killing it with Ghostbusters , TMNT, and Rom
 
Sure, would love to see it and the other Rankin/Bass Pacific Animation Corp Productions ThunderCats & that other one ....TigerSharks.

Oh oh, set up for another shared universe.

If I remember right the rebooted Thundercats cartoon eluded to the Tigersharks and Silverhawks occupying the same universe as the Thundercats
 
I don't know. Out of all of the cartoons in the 80's, this seems to be too obscure (and expansive) to make.

Even with a live action film, it needs to embrace the cheese.
 
Yeah. If Power Rangers, based on a show that was popular worldwide in the mid-'90s, is still crawling towards $100 million domestic after two weeks, I can't see studios itching to put properties like Silverhawks to the big screen.
 
The basic Idea of Silverhawks is pretty cool when you think about it.
Reworking it a bit could make a interesting movie imo, so i would be all for a silverhawks reboot.

But people forget the most obvious thing that needs to be rebooted and reanimated nowadays...Saber Rider and The Star Sheriffs.:ilv:
 
I'd love to see a live action reboot of Centurions. The technology used in that show - exo frames - isn't actually that far off what military are working on these days.

Yeah, I'd be down with a Centurions or Silverhawks movie. I can't get on board with Thundercats anymore though. Back when I was in college, a couple of friends of mine had a roommate who had a furry fetish and he had all these pictures all over his room of Thundercat-looking characters in sexy poses and such. I know they're essentially more human than animal, but it still always creeped me the hell out because it felt like the guy was seriously into animals. Now every time I see anything Thundercat-related I think of that. Ruined it for me.
