I would like to see a modern take on atmospheric horror. Vampyr would be interesting.

That was scrapped over two years ago. It's a shame, really. Tim Burton and The Addams Family would go together like peanut butter and chocolate.

Avatar: The Last Airbender.

That series (and its sequel) are perfect for the franchise, big budget film treatment, and Shyamalan totally screwed the pooch with his approach to it.

 

[The Face]

I think 'The Mole People' should get a remake; the original has all the makings of really cool adventure film in the tradition of H. Rider Haggard and Edgar Rice Burroughs but the budgetary and cultural restraints of b-movies of the time (1950s) really hold it back. If you got a good pulp director (Stephen Sommers is my first choice followed closely by Gore Verbinski) you could make an awesome movie.
