Luke Cage Simone Missick as Misty Knight!

I'm assuming McSir is referring to the final scene in the club with Misty in the red dress.

If so, it isn't really her classic uniform, imho, but her look definitely alludes to it. She's taken the next step in her style evolution for sure.

The hair back with curls and a headband is classic Misty. As for the dress itself, she did wear something very similar in early appearances (Marvel Team-Up #64, as once instance). In those appearances, however, the dress was white not red, which has gone on to be Misty's signature color.

Not officially. Just Defenders. I don't want to definitively say she won't because sometimes there are surprising cameos in this show. Like Hogarth showing up in Daredevil. Rachael Taylor having a vocal cameo in Luke Cage.

Don't forget

Wilson Fisk in Season 2 of DD for more than one episode.

I watched the final two episodes earlier today and Misty said a couple of things that didn't make sense to me.

At one stage she says that she has to help Luke because he doesn't have many people around him who "have his back", but this was after the sequence where Method Man was on the radio voicing his support for Cage followed by all the people wearing the "hole-y hoodies".

It made her sound delusional.

Then towards the end of episode 13 she tells Luke and Claire Mariah is walking free as though it is the inspectors fault, when in fact the inspector had no choice because Misty made a complete bags of the case against Mariah.

Is this because she can't accept responsibility for her mistakes? Or am I missing something?

The people not having his back comment I thought was more in reference to the police, not the general population of Harlem.

hopefully lots of cool stuff for her to do in this next season. Don't cut her arm off.

Meh, they did the bait and switch with her arm for the first season, not sure why they'd go back and do it now, unless it happens in Defenders. Which again would be weird since they gave the perfect out to have it amputated but she recovered.

I found her very broken. Is the character typically that self righteous? That scene with the psycholgist, as a student in the field myself, was oddly fustrating. She is far from righteous. One of those "I do everything to protect my vulnerable feelings" kind of people, who really NEED unconditional positive regard

I like these surprise cameos.

Defeners spoilers...

I wonder how they will deal with her arm. Will it be life-like à la Coulson's, will they give her a green sleeve and then do CGI, or will they make some sort of practical effect?

I like this actress for this part and glad that she is looking like having a significant part in this Netflix universe.

Hopefully they do it properly but I guess it depends how much budget it eats up.

Same here. She pulls it off well. Amazing that she was this complete unknown. I love her hair too.

I like her voice and she has the spunk to pull it off while coming off as a believable cop. Would love to see her get more action and screentime alongside Colleen.
