Okay, so here's my idea. Mr. Sinister is introduced as X-4's villain. He has been, like his comic counterparts obsessed with Scott and Jean's DNA. Much like Professor X transfering his mind into a new body, Mr. Sinister uses his technology to transfer their consciousness to new bodies.

The rest of the movie can carry on appropriately; the revealing of Apocalypse...tying Cable into it some how...etc.

Thoughts?

1: Get rid of the Summers-obsession thing. It's a ridiculous ploy to make Scott more interesting and it holds Sinister back.

2: Leave Scott and Jean dead. Seriously, the films have already had like 3 resurrections. Any more and they won't be taken seriously.

3: No Apocalypse; he's ridiculous and won't work in the movies' realistic setting.

4: Leave Cable out too; his back story is one big cluster****.

Mr sinister would be perfect. Just have him obsessed with say maybe Rogue or storm instead? X4!!!

He already has a fascination with Gambit in the comics. They should go with that since they'll both be introduced in the new films.

Well, Gambit's a given as the studios have admitted and the Sinister/Apocalypse duo are second only to Magneto as far as X-villians go so it's a given that they'll be put in, with Sinister being part of the lead-in to Apocalypse.

I agree with Sinister being the villian in X4 as he pursues Gambit who takes refuge in the X-mansion. Gambit, Storm, Rogue, Wolvie and Storm would be the key to somehow awakening Apocalypse setting up X5. I can see these Xmen: Wolverine, Storm (leader), Colossus, Iceman, Emma Frost (possible hellfire storied sequel). Also we would see the death of the Angel being reborn as Archangel in X5.

Sinister and Goblin Queen anyone??? :whatever:

I think sinister is a great character whos looks actually would show how mutation can be a scary thing. I agree to leave scott out, hes done cya...and if they are gonna introduce Gambit and Sinister has had a fascination with Gambit then maybe they can start X4 with Gambit running from sinister and somehow ending up in westchester seeking help or something and storm as headmistress comes out and scares sinister off..i dunno

I agree with this, but maybe if they had a really good director who could transfer comic plots onto the big screen w/o making it cheesy, but so far I haven't seen any films who have made this work

I say save Sinister for X5 and do Sentinels for X4. Maybe give him a small role to let folks know he's coming. I'm thinking that, like in the comics, he should reduce Gambit's powers because of the energy flow they cause inside Gambit's body. In my script, Gambit's pre-reduction powers will be uncontrollable: anything his hands touch becomes explosive, and his eyes glow completely red (though the pupil, iris, and sclera can be distinguished from each other). Gambit reluctantly agrees to join Sinister's group, the Marauders, in exchange for a power reduction that leaves his abilities manageable and his eyes red only in the iris (this is also a great identification point between Rogue and Gambit. Gambit hates the cure and, like most mutants, judges those who took it - until he realizes after a fight with her that what he did was no different). That would be the last of Gambit's direct interaction with Sinister for this movie, but we would follow his involvement with the Marauders up to the Mutant Massacre, which I won't go into detail about because it's not relevant to the topic. :p I'd like to have one more scene with Sinister toward the end of X4 that signals his huge role in X5, but I haven't figured that one out yet.

I love these ideas but to be honest i always wanted the Morlocks to be incorporated somehow. A colony of mutated freaks living underground in the sewers would certainly add something creepy and eerie to the movie. Too bad they already had callisto in the movie and she didnt even look like a freak, she looked hot.

I'm thinking I'll keep Callisto in the movie and have the Mutant Massacre be a "backstory" scene (occuring 1 1/2 years before the "current" time), thus creating a bit of a history between the two that will play out the first time he crosses paths with her as an X-Man. The revelation that he was involved in the Mutant Massacre shatters what trust he had built with the X-Men - except with Rogue, whose newly-discovered ability to absorb memories left her with the knowledge that Gambit knew nothing of the Marauder's intentions that night.

To keep from going completely off-topic, I'll add a little something more to my thoughts on Sinister: though I'm not 100% decided, I don't think Scott and Jean should be cloned. I think there should be a nod to that storyline, though. Maybe when Gambit meets Sinister in X4, there could be pictures of Scott and Jean covering a wall. The wall would never be focused on or anything, so it wouldn't look all that weird to outsiders; but those of us who know the story will have a little "inside joke", if you will. :cwink:

i think Mr Sinister should be in X4 but as a secondary villian. maybe have him in the hellfire club and introduce that he has a hidden agenda for working with them. X5 have him the main villian introducing that apocolypse is coming. Then x6 = apocolypse.
you cant have Sinister as the main villian in X4 because there will not be much change in the character from X4 to X5. you need to build it up to the climax.
NO CYCLOPS OR JEAN GREY IN X4 = it just defies the laws of films... to kill a character off to have them return again in the next film. have Cyclops return in X5 and have him come to terms with jeans death. then leave good phoenix till X6 to fight apocolypse.
i think your DNA plot would be best in X5 but still introduce Sinister in X4

i agree with that :)

X4 - build up to apocalypse
Magneto, slowly regaining his powers. maybe allied with or leading the morlocks?
human protestors are outraged with mutant atacks and start anti mutant campains.
Gambit introduced, he is working against his will for Sinister, trying to ressurect Apocalypse.
Angel becoming an official member of the X-men. His father has changed his views on mutants, but is killed in the end. Connect that with him being Arch Angel in the future.

I actually just came up with my own idea on Archangel. I said in another thread that I don't want him to become Archangel at any point, but I've changed my mind. Here's what I think:

In X4, Warren makes a connection with Kurt. Warren grew up as a Christian, but abandoned his faith when he became a mutant and faced his father's rejection. Kurt gets him curious about religion again, and he takes on the name "Angel" after a comment Kurt makes about his appearance.

In X5, the cure becomes the Legacy Virus in about 1/2 of cure patients (it first shows itself in cure patients only and is called "The Legacy Effect", but it later spreads as an actual virus). When Kurt comes down with the Legacy Effect, Angel realizes that Kurt took the cure. With his trust and respect for Kurt shattered, Angel becomes angry and disillusioned, and he leaves the X-Men. I haven't figured the rest out exactly, but I've got the generics: while he's vulnerable and away from the Mansion, Sinister lures him into the Four Horsemen by feeding into his anger and giving him metal wings for greater strength.

Cyclops never got a chance to have his moment. I say bring him back, but only in a way that makes sense...
