Do you guys think we will ever get the earlier seasons on Blu Ray/4k? They could use a little bit of remastering. The DVD sets look a wee bit rough (especially the first season) on newer TV's. 1-5 are the best seasons, so I'd love to have them updated someday.

I think I read the quality of the first few seasons isn't good enough for Blu Ray, so I think if we do get it, that it may not look very good and I doubt it would be full screen.

In OCT 2021, it’ll be 20 years since #Smallville was firstly aired at #theWB on OCT 16, 2001. To celebrate, WB’s releasing #Smallville: #TheCompleteSeries #20thAnniversaryEdition Box in BluRay (+ digital copy in the US only) with all 10 seasons + 28h of extras. Release on OCT 19

Amazon has pre-orders up. Went ahead and put my name on the list haha. The only downside with this set is that includes no new content. I wish they could have done something for it. I know you couldn't get all the actors involved for interviews. But I think Welling/Rosenbaum/Kruek/Durance could have.

I would have loved maybe a 5 minute animated tease of Smallville. Maybe just even animate the highlights of the show. Would have been something.

Yeah it sucks no new features….not even something to commentate 20 years of the series.

It's just kinda an odd thing. You would think at least they would have something new with the set. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy it's finally on Blu Ray, but no new added features is a little bit of a let down. Even maybe digging up old interviews and behind the scenes stuff would have been cool. Oh well.

I mean the pandemic definitely played apart and I think Allison Mack situation .... still I'd say that they should've completed a zoom type cast reunion special.

Yeah, or even old never before seen footage, maybe even deleted scenes. I'm sure they have something in that old WB Library we have yet to see of Smallville haha.

I do wonder how each season will be packaged? New cover art for each season, or will it be in a book with each disc in a slot? I don't think that had been shown yet.
But like I said, I am glad they are finally putting this series on Blu Ray. It will always be one of my all time favorite super-hero related shows.

It does suck. I mean I also wanted some new extras since it’s been freaking 20 years. So some new extras would’ve been welcome but whatever.

At least we’re getting a new blu ray set though. I had the first crappy dvd set with the cardboard box so lol it’s a step up.

I pre-ordered the set for $170 I checked on the Amazon listing today, went up to $190

I thought anything it might go down in price, not up lol. Edit- They changed it back to $170. So nevermind!
