I like both shows and unfortunately Smallville was changed to the CW channel, which is not available in my area. So needless to say that the last I time I saw Clark was in the phantom zone. I have to wait until the DVDs come out in September to find out what happend next (inlcuding the return of the Flash, Aquaman, etc...). Anyway, I am surviving thanks to Heros!t:

Smallville.

They are two completely different kinds of shows, and are hard to compare. They touch on different things, different types of relationships...and while I love what heroes is doing, if I missed an episode...it wouldn't hurt too bad.

Smallville I would be much more upset.

Besides both are Soap Operas in their own right:

1 a : a serial drama performed originally on a daytime radio or television program and chiefly characterized by tangled interpersonal situations and melodramatic or sentimental treatment.


Besides Smallville; "House" completely destroys Heroes.

Heroes completely destroys Smallville while House annihilates them both. But according to a friend, 24 takes them all to school.

If I were to miss an episode of Smallville, it wouldn't hurt at all, because I know I wouldn't have missed anything. I would know Clark is still not going after a potential career in journalism. I'd know that he still isn't going out and looking for people to help. I know that he'd be somewhere pining over Lana, like he's been doing since season 1.

Smallville brings nothing to me.
All it is to me is a show to watch on Thursdays at 8 p.m.
I like it and all, but it is not quality.

As Sage said, Heroes completely destroys Smallville, and House destroys them both.

The Storylines in Heroes are rock solid, While The Action in smallville is awesome .

I love both shows but since I can only choose one [I choose "Heroes"] for the super storylines .

24 owns Smallville, House & Heroes . It is still The Best damn good series on Tv . No one does a better job of saving The United States & The world than JACK BAUER !!!!!!!

Heroes is a story that continues to build each episode, each episode has impact and movement toward the larger story. In just half a season the characters in Heroes have changed and evolved more than the characters on Smallville have in 5 1/2 seasons. It really is no contest and besides from the comic aspect they aren't really the same type of show, Heroes is more like a Lost, Prison Break or 24 than Smallville.

Smallville should be compared more to Supernatural, Veronica Mars, Buffy or Angel, of course those 4 shows are also much better than Smallville too, since the characters are allowed to evolve and change unlike Smallville.

SV can only evolve but so much before you turn it into a Superman story instead of Clark growing up.

It's much more original and more compelling than Smallville.
They haven't stuck the "freak of the week" plotline that Smallwille has for the past six years, and it doesn't look like they are going to start.

They've darn near started turning it into a Superman story by bringing in Lois and Jimmy Olsen.

But come on, they could be doing better. I'd trade Lana being pregnant by Lex for Clark gaining an interest over journalism easily.
