Didn't DC decide NOT to kill Dick in IC because they were afraid too many people would hate it even though it would be a really dramatic ending? Well they killed the Nightwing series along with other crap in the first OYL arc anyway.

They should really really really really take that whole arc out of continuity so we can all be like 'What? Huh? Nah, that never happened?!'.

DC was planning to kill Dick off after all the crap he went through with being raped an all. (the fault of bad writing, not bad character) But they're just doing the same crap OYL so hopefully it gets better and they don't end up killing him anyway.
