I odn't regret the Wii. I mean when Assassins Creed comes out and GTA4 and in the distance way off RE5 I'll be glad I have a 360 but for now I mostly only play Dead Rising, COD2 and occasionally Oblivion on it. I ain't a Halo fan, so that isn't anyting I'm psyched about.
Games worth checking out on Wii right now:
-Wii Sports: Comes with it, obviously awesome.
-The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess: One of the best games ever made. Diehards will call it a retread that doesn't live up to the same calibur of OOT or originality like MM, and they are partly right. But it is still an amazing game and for my money the best game in the last two years. It's better on Wii.
-The Godfather: Blackhand Edition: Simply put, this thing kicks ass. An in depth game of 30-40 hours of missions and storyline to do until you become Don of NYC (that is if you complete 90% of the game ,which is fun to do) and the Wii unique controls makes this the easily best version of the game (better than yes the 360 and PS3 versions, with more content than the 360 version) and 1:1 controls are fun. Closest game that ocmes to reaching the fun level of GTA, but not quite.
-Super Paper Mario
-Wario Ware: Best party game on the system.
-Resident Evil 4 (if you haven't played or beaten it on Gamecube yet)
And Sonic and His Secret Rings is worth a rental. Also, if you're a diehard Spidey fan, the SM3 game on Wii (made from the scratch up) may be worth a rental. While it is not a particularly good game, the swinging on it is awesome and quite frankly the best swing system in a SM game yet. Rent it for that. Play the rest of the game (all 8 hours) if you want....
And do realize that by the end of the year this system will have 5 killer apps with arguably 2 more coming next spring and it won't be until '08 that third parties will begin to really start capitalizing on the Wii's success (having ignored it until after seeing holiday sales last yaer).
So it wasn't a bad buy.
