So I got some bad news today.

I've heard about this but not in Magic Johnson. A man in England "kicked" it out of his system as well. I've also heard that 10% of Europeans are immune to it by now for some reason. I think there's something strange going on.

I seem to remember that you were tested for HIV and found to be immune to it.
Or are you a carrier?

Yeah I was tested but I couldn't be found to be immune to it cuz I would have to have been infected first and "shrugged" it off for that to be official. Foruntately, I was found to be negative in my last test three months ago, ON MY BIRTHDAY!!

I still can't believe it,LJ. :(

I doubt we've ever actually talked to each other, but I've always found you to be one of the cooler people on the Hype. Just a total shame. :(

So Lumberjack,

Since you might be going before the judgement seat of God a little sooner than you expected, will you be trying to right your wrongs, including that one wrong with that certain poster who will remain nameless, primarily because I've forgotten his name?

Live fast,
Love hard,
Die with your mask on.

Possible, I have no idea at this point.

i just know that it wasn't me and have eliminated me as a possiblity. However, there are about 18 000 other possible posters.

It's not a death sentence at all. Long as he takes care of himself, eats right, and doesn't stress, he'll continue to live a very healthy and long life.

Doctors don't know it all so nothing is a death sentence.

I appreciate everyone's support and I even got a laugh out of some of the crude comments that were made. My sense of humor is sick and twisted enough that I can make fun of my own possibly terminal illness. It reminds me a bit of that scene in Man on the Moon where Kaufman is discussing his Carnegie Hall show and he suggests Santa tells him he's getting cancer for Chistmas.

As of right now, I am planning on getting tested again this week along with everyone I've had close contact with. I'm praying that it was a false positive, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I will say though that it's quite disturbing how high the number of incorrect test results is. I am doing my reading and trying to learn more about it since I know next to nothing right now and I'd like to find out where it came from.

Man, that really sucks. I'm so sorry. If I was you I'd be really scared right now. But look on the bright side. For the rest of the time you have left on Earth, you will have the happiest life that a normal person can only dream. Your friends and family will treat you better, your whole perspective on life will change causing you to be a more nice and generous person. And in the end you will have accomplished so much that you might have no regrets. You will have found your purpose in this world than others who are lost souls and just want to live long.

so in the end, no matter what happens, whether you live long or die early, there's a purpose and you fufilled it.

Good luck, hopefully it was a false positive.

Although it makes me happy that I'm pissing off the sympathetic posters and entertaining the one that is dying, I am serious when I say that if you are HIV positive, it might be a good time to make right.

yeah, send ftb his stuff. he's good people. but i know that nobody deserves HIV, even if they screw people. afterall, we live in a world where everyone screws everyone just about. and i hope your retest comes out better. and if it doesnt, it sucks, but don't be one of those people who go around trying to spread it further. i've heard of that happening several times, where people intentionally try to give it to others.

Best of luck man, I hope it reverses.

So I went last week to donate plasma in order to get some extra cash. I was denied as it turns out that I've contracted HIV at some point in the last 6 months. Apparently I'm not going to live to see 30 if there isn't some sort of major advance in the treatment of the disease. I don't really have much to say right now. The gravity of the situation has just set in today and I don't really know how to react. I've told my family and my girlfriend, who has thankfully not contracted the disease, and they've taken it much than I have up to this point. I am going to die and I can't do a damn thing about it.:(

damn man, im sorry to hear that :(

Oh man, that is awful. I'll keep in you in my prayers. Hopefully, something can be done to help.
