Have you ever quit a job you loved, but just didn't like some of the people?

I did that today. I worked at my local Dunham's Sports, and today was my last day.

My boss was riding/heckling me uncontrollably, and I was the only part-timer actually WORKING.

It sucks, but I have to move on, and I actually have to move to Kalamazoo for college.

Yeah, I know, I didn't mean to.

Firefox got horribly slow, and made me triple-post.

Job and enjoyment does not go together.

At least for me. There's been so many times where I've wanted to run in with a boom box held over my head with "take this job and shove it" playing loudly and going up to the bosses office. And then, I don't know...grimace at them.

everyday i say to myself "don't quit yet...you can only quit if "this" hapens again...or if he (the boss) says 'x'"... it's working so far.

I might work part-time at a store called "The Music Shop" that sells stereos, guitars, cd's, movies, etc.

Cool. I've all ways wanted a job at Wal-Mart. But you have to be 15. But you have to be 14 to work at mcdonalds.

wow..i thought legal working age in Ontario was still 16.....

I think it is still 16 but you're allowed to work younger if you do some permission paperwork garbage.

farmerfran, are you going to stop being a farmer?
should we start calling you fran from now on?
are you going to change your screenname?

I've been working at the same place for the last 5 years. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I worked with seniors and end of stage AIDS pateints at a long term heatlth care facility as a recreation threapists. I hated my co-workers but really cared for the residents so I hung for as long as I could. Until there were just too many people dying so close together :csad: it was time to move on. It was a good job with pretty good benefits but my emoitional and spiritual self couldn't take much more :csad:

Teh bump from hell!
