I worked at a sales job for 10 years and I loved the job and my customers. Some of my co-workers were tough to deal with but after a while I figured that getting to know people and trying to understand where they are coming from helps you out.

Seven Habits is a great book that you might enjoy. If you follow some of Steven Covey's advice it is pretty cool. One of his techniques is to learn and do everything you can well. In doing so you become more valuable to your boss and sometimes you can disarm his anger by becoming someone he can turn to if he has an issue.

I have now worked at this job for 3+ years and I love the job, my customers and my co-workers. My boss is cool and he gives me space. The hard part is that the guy who has been my right hand man is moving on so now I have to find a replacement. Again a person that I had issues with at first, but we worked through them and I will really miss him.

2) Tries to hard to earn our respect. I mean, like, almost forces you to like him.
