I couldn't believe my ears, what does it even mean?

I'd google it but I'm not typing that s**t in work.

The guy is a very intelligent man, in his late 50's. As an MD he should know the consequences of spouting something like that. How can someone be so ignorant, in a bloody Boardroom full of people??!!

I've only been at the job just over a month so I'm not going to ruffle feathers, but it was crazy!!

At my last job in Microsoft you'd have had your metaphorical arse handed to you for that and been shown the door, regardless of how senior your position was.

Nope, I heard exactly what he said, if what you've just said is the correct term, then he's saying it wrong, but that's what he said, no doubt.

There were one or two shocked faces in the room, but from the looks of it he says it all the time.

I'm definitely not going to report the guy, I've got bills to pay! The company I work for has managed to worm themselves out of responsibility for numerous grizzly deaths, so I'm sure they could sweep this one under the carpet & fire my arse no problemo.

There's Freedom of Speech to consider, and since no one has been discriminated, and he clearly didn't mean anything overtly derogatory to a particular individual...it'd be a tough sell.

you could sue him and retire. a guy I used to sell cars with worked for a different dealership and managed to record his boss saying in a meeting that a "N_-_-_-_-_" would never be a manager at his dealership. He sued and left that dealership with a huge settlement.
