I was never a toy collector and the last time I even had them was when I was 12. But in the last year, thanks to some extra dough from work I've started building a collection. There's a comic store around my neighbourhood in DC that usually got some figures for cheap and I've started get into these.

My collection is pretty much recent stuff and its kinda all over the place:

Superman & Batman wave 1 from the Superman/Batman
Nightwing from Superman/Batman
Silver Age Joker and Batgirl
Smallville set of Lana, Lex and Clark
Identity Crisis Flash
Identity Crisis Black Canary
Identity Crisis Green Arrow
Batman Through the Ages 4-figure set
Justice League of America's Red Arrow
JLA's Black Lightning
52's Batwoman
Infinite Crisis Donna Troy
Justice's Lex Luthour
Hush from the Hush series
Justice's Joker

Pretty much just got whatever was for cheap at the time. But I'm starting to get into some of these and been browsing through the catalogues online. Just wanted to know what some of you would reccomend and if you know any good places onine to get other DC Direct stuff cheap.

Oh and if you know any place that got McFarlane Sports Figures online for cheap lemme know. I'm trying to fatten my NBA collection too.

Well Super Ludacris, I gotta say I'm glad to hear another has jumped on theDC Direct (or DCD for short) bandwagon. Not a bad start to your collection, nice random mix of figures you have there. Now, I wouldn't say that my DCD figures/collection is exclusively Batman stuff, although its the majority, but I often check out all of DCD's releases because I'm a Bat-fan and on a lesser note a DC fan. Alot of the recent series have been good to great, this recent JLA wave with Red Arrow is one of the better thats been out this year. Personally I'm still trying to find a few of them, I only was able to get a Red Arrow so far due to them being in extremely high demand in my area and my comic shops' stock not being enough to meet it. Anyway, as far as online goes I'm a very comic shop oriented guy and I pretty much solely buy through them, unless its a trade and a fellow collector gets it from their shop or maybe a specialty store like Suncoast that often stocks DCD figures. But the majority of the time I get them from my shop but others here like Roughneck could give you a better idea since they purchase online. One online retailer I know that has DCD figures (and some every so often on clearance) is cornerstorecomics.com.

Now, as far as Sportpicks I haven't bought one since the very first Kobe an AI. I just didn't stay with the line and I didn't feel like finding those I wanted again. Almost got that Shaq with the goal a few years ago, but I balked. But I always see them at Toys R Us and Hastings. If you don't check those stores already I'd give them a shot. But online I'm not much help.
