So uh...what happened to Toxin?

It was more of a dark red and a dark blue.

Resembled spidey too much for my liking, shoulda been a greenish black.

I'm guessing next time Carnage makes an appereance which would probably be a big Spider-man event since he was ripped to shreds by the Sentry, and after Brock gets the symbiote back we will eventually see Toxin.

Yea it should've been green since Venom is kinda blue and Carnage is Red.

I just finished up the mini and loved it.

I remember reading his first appearance a long time ago and was really intrigued by him.

I like how the built his story, having an idealistic cop struggling to tame the symbiote is a real interesting read, he slipped up a few times, even killed a man yet he has the potential to be the most heroic host(not counting Spidey, bit hard to live up too).

Why isn't Toxin aware of everything Pat thinks of, like when he's writing in his diary, and openly thinking about tricking Toxin?
Aren't symbiotes aware of all you think, all you know?

Is this just a case of badly writing Spidey or was he really so busy, and so careless that he'd actually trust the son of Carnage to prevent "Slasherday" after Razor-Fist had already killed 28 people at the "Restaurant Massacre"? Especially considering it could have been prevented if Pat had pursued Razor-Fist when he first had the chance.

Anyways I'm really eager to see how they use him in the Initiative, whatever team he ends up being apart of will be awesome!

No reason to black out something that went down two years ago.

Fair enough, just didn't want to take any chances, so anyone have answers?

Justa theory, but there must be some level of willingness

Spidey tried to stay in control

Eddie wanted the bond but he wanted control as well

Cassidy welcomed the bond and is prolly why hes the more powerful one

Pat is definitely the least happy with the bond of all, which has created more of a split personality disorder where Toxin is always whispering in Pats ear and when pat gives in Toxin takes full control and blocks Pat out. Not that thats bad since Toxin seems mildly infantile and seems to mean well as far as hurting people who deserved it.

But I havent read itin forever

I wonder how they'll evolve together, at one point Toxin was reading Pats diary, and he actually seemed hurt that Pat would consider him too be a monster.

Plus he'd of found out that he was being tricked by Pats suicide attempts.

I really like the Pat character though, he is very idealistic and a very good guy.
Just consider when he's talking to Meadows, who basically caused his dad to die, he didn't take a cheap shot, he let it be.

At one point, trying to live with Toxin becomes too much for Pat, and he attempts to commit suicide by throwing himself in front of a train. Toxin interferes at the last moment, saving Pat and claiming that deep down, Pat didn't really want to die. When Pat presses the issue, however, it becomes clear that, unlike the Venom and Carnage symbiotes, Toxin is not sure it could survive on its own and find a new host. (Both Venom and Carnage have left their original hosts, Peter Parker, Eddie Brock and Cletus Kasady, to bond with others.) It was in this limited series that Razor Fist murders Patrick Mulligan's father, but we see Pat/Toxin begin to show true signs of a hero; he tracks Razor Fist down, but instead of slaughtering him as both the symbiote and Razor Fist himself urge, he controls himself and turns Razor Fist over to the police.

At the end of the limited series, we see Pat reconcile with his estranged wife Gina, by 'introducing' her to the Toxin symbiote as way of explaining why he walked out on his family.

Pat and Toxin co-operate peacefully on a deal that is honored by them both. Pat will be in complete control of the symbiote, if he allows Toxin two hours of "playtime" a night. However in those two hours, Toxin is not allowed to commit any acts of grand theft, arson or homicide.

[edit] Civil War/The Initiative

Man, I never really read much about him, but I'd like to see him back. Having a "good" symbiote could be interesting.

That's him on the far right.

I find him boring like all symbiont. (That's the correct way to say it, so says Deadpool.)

So during his playtime he's not allowed to commit grand theft?

For some reason I'm seeing him pulling a GTA4 and just driving around and making pats buddy's work for thier donuts...

He basically goes around scaring Cats and stuff.

Man i only have like the first 2 issues of the miniseries and i cant find none of them anywhere same with Venom vs Carnage cant find em no where here

Toxin and the other symbiotes were mentioned in the Iron Man armor recap in the Mighty Avengers Venom Bomb storyline. Toxin, as well as a couple other symbiotes, are listed as inactive.

Now we're getting a new Symbiote soon. Can never have enough Symbiotes, I guess. (What's his name??? Anti-venom?)

Toxin had some potential, but that was squandered in the last mini. It wasn't the symbiont's fault though. I thought Pat pretty much became a whining idiot. Leaving his wife and kid then secretly stalking them all the time seemed completely redundant.

He thought the symbiont was a danger to his family. So what does he do? He runs away then stalks them with the Symbiont's help. That seems like poor writing to me. Completely ruined the credibility of him feeling burdened by the monster so much he couldn't be near anyone he loved.
