So, Ultimate Fantastic Four: Requiem. Thoughts?

Just read my advanced copy of this ish and thought it was pretty terrible. And since you'll all be reading it tomorrow (if you pick it up), I figured I'd see what others thought.

I actually liked quite a bit of the UFF run (bought all of it actually), so the fact that I thought this issue was so crappy that I'm just not gonna buy it altogether probably tells you something.

So, "Requiem" made me think we'd have a dramatic concluding issue to a series I thought was pretty great overall, but alas, I was mistaken. So this issue shows us that, after Dormammu brutally kills Strange, apparently the mysterious figures who beat Dormammu are Thing and Sue Storm. Yep, a guy who has a bunch of magical abilities gets killed by Dormammu, but a couple beings with no magical defences at all not only survive but defeat Dormammu with apparent ease. Unfrigginbelievable.

That was the main part that I thought was ******ed. Contributing to that is the fact that them facing Dormammu was written in by having Dormammu randomly grab the human torch into his dimension because for some reason he needs the torch's power. Then, late and even more inexplicably, Sue's ingenious plan is to encase Dormammu in a field while the trapped Torch goes nova, and somehow this not only defeates Dormammu but turns him into a regular human ?!?!?! Whom they then leave alone on the street.

There was other stuff in the issue, but all of that alone made the ish as a whole pretty unreadable.

I was never a big fan of Ult. FF, and I read the issue...well I have to say that the rest of the series was alot better then this one.
