that "Smallville" isn't going in the exact direction of the official Superman mythos? I'm not gonna lie, it took me quite sometime, as I'm sure it has most of you. But now I finally realized that while the show might have originally started out as a show meant to televise Clark's life in Smallville and his evolution from boy to Man of Steel, it is nothing but just a show borrowing elements from ALL Superman mythos to create it's very own history.

Would this be where Hypertime comes into effect? :)

maybe some would ACCEPT this, i doubt anyone would EXCEPT it.

but why does ANYBODY think this show has to follow some magic special route through the comics. It boggles my mind.

Damn you Kaboom and you're perfect grammar! To the Phantom Zone with yee.

I think the problem is that they've already shown within the series itself, specifically in the third season episode 'Hereafter', that Clark will become Superman.

Smallville is more of an "Ultimate Superboy" than anything.

I just wish that people would come to "except" that there iis NO "official Superman mythos" but a small set of basic tenants of the legend in which all versions of the character branch off from and add depth to.

Exactly Hulk! The Superman mythos have changed so many times from comics, tv, movies, etc. Besides a couple facts, what can be declared as THE "official" Superman mytho?

i cant wait for clark to go to work at the daily star

Heck there have been several official mythos' created over the years. Several of them contradicting the others.

Like Hulk and Spider said, there is no "Official" comic mythos for the show to follow. So don't be hatin....:woot:

Yes, but then what would all the ignorant, sanctimonious know-it-all "fans" do about whining and moaning about trivial issues of little importance to the actual quality of the product? Especially with no more X-men movies coming up.

I certainly don't want them in the Heroes forums, making up continuity problems from scratch.
