Good start on art - May I suggest looking at real life imagry for inspiration like if wishing to draw a hand look at your own, see what it may look like in perspective or simply google images HAND, also I suggest use light colored pencils for initial drawing and sketch when satisfied draw the finishes in black - less smudge, and cleaner pic especially when the colors can be scanned out :)

For the first image I did use refrence body Jessica Biel. The rest of the images, however, I can see what you mean (especially the last). These are really old though anyway so I've improved upon that quite a bit.

Thanks for the tip about the pencils I will intergrate that in my next drawings.

Also I started to color the second pic today. Wish me luck on that

Yes, good to hear - remember the cleaner it is the better the presentation, and easier to color - other professional tools are "French curves" (creates smooth edges and curves) "rulers" and drawing "compass" Even the professionals use these

Yeah I'm finding I'm really having to do a "painted" look for my drawing to look right colored because my messy kind of smudged look is all that it can hold.

I'll post my finished peice here next week.

If I may make some suggestions - It is apparent you are using photoshop tools such as "Chrome) (correct me if I'm wrong here) If so , try to apply some Shadowing before applying it for better effects - Plastic wrap is extremely hard to se correctly there is much better tools to get that effect such as "screen" on the brushes

Beyond that it's a bit tricky to give you tips on those tools, for I generally do not use them

The jewel look decent, but I would have maniped a real jewel in there and colored it blue :) saves time

Anyways do as you wish this is just friendly advice

Hi James! You have some nice starts here. I would also add that one thing that will save you guess work and time is to figure out where your light sources are coming from. That way you can get your shadows in there and work out from them.
Be it b/w work OR colored work...it always helps big time to know where those sources are and will make your work have alot more power and pop when you get stronger in it.
Take care and keep up the good work.

Thanks for your crits guys!
@ SteveG You didn't misspell my name I just put it with the 'y" on message boards for style. But I agree about the source lighting it's been a source of great agony for me with this project.
@grafffik I actually used bevel and patten overlay type of thing but yeah I've only scratched the surface of the best ways to do it.

Also here's my newest upgrade for the project. I think it looks a bit better but any advice to push it further would be appreciated.
