This site right here has a link to some character designer's site, here.
Could it be that guy is doing the designs for piccolo and his henchmen or w/e?

well the db movie blog lists him as the creature designer. his work is very awesome and creative. i'm sure he'll turn out a great design for piccolo....but it's really up to the makeup and prosthetics artists to bring the design to life.

I'm sure he will do a fine job doing the concept art for Piccolo. =) "In Alex Tuis we Believe"

Alex Tuis is great. Chatted with him many times. He has also confirmed to me (and I wasn't able to post this on the blog because Fox hadn't announced it yet) that Amalgamated Dynamics Inc. is working on the film.

^As you can see, they're pretty incredible.

This is why it is prob better in the long run that they started with piccolo becuase his appearance sets the tone for the franchise whereas visually vegeta is just a balding guy with funny hair and armor skirt. (not to be harsh but he is)

Piccolo is a good setup for future villains like freeza and cell and buu.

If Piccolo looks like that, he'd be a really terrifying baddie!! This guy seems talented, and would hopefully keep the cheese factor down a little.

And thank god that in the 25 odd years Vegeta aged in the timeline of DBZ that he never lost any more hair :cwink:

Probably not to different, the cheeks and jaw seem consistant with Marsters face structure. There would have to be hints of green in there, probably outlining the ridges on the forehead, noes, and cheeks.

You know, I was told by a customer at work that hair loss is connected with excess amounts of testosterone. What he said this leads to would get me banned in these forums since it deals wih a certain part of the male anatomy. :cwink: Let's just say that...uh....that could be the reason why Bulma hooked up with the Saiyan Prince in the first place.

Haha, I like this theory. But just think about the levels of Krillin's testosterone!! :wow:

Yeah, that would well for Piccolo, plus the teeth and green skin. As the Namekians are asexual, I think a leaf-like (veiny) texture to their skin would work too like in that piece of art.

yeah....there's a difference between balding and a receding hairline. Vegeta's hairline is just receding at the corners, hehe.

    not green enough

I agree, aging 25 years and not losing any more hair does kinda point to it being his hairline more than anything else. Or that is some sloooooow balding :o

i think piccolo should look more human. something similar to hellboy, except green, and skinnier. i think the pics shown are too monster looking. they're ok, i just can't imagine seeing dendei(namekian kid) like that as well.

well, i myself beleive we no longer have anything to worry about piccolo wise, except marsters' performance....but judging by what he has said in recent interviews that aint much of a threat
