Hey guys check this article. Could Christian Clarke be playing none other than Mr Sinister?

This is a Wolverine film, not a Gambit one. If he has any appearance it would be in name only, a dude with the right name tag per se, an easter egg of sorts to the fans, nothing more. This film is way too short to have that many tangents in it.

Yea i know. But i think the guy is saying that could be the reason Wolverine goes to Gambit, because he knows about this facility. He isn't saying it's going to be exactly like the comics, but that Sinister being included wouldn't be that out of place.

Rumor has it that the reason Logan seeks Remy out is :

..because Gambit escaped from Stryker's detainment center and Logan wants to know where it is.

A much better reason in my opinion.

That gives Gambit a great use, and makes his name being X2 even more interesting.

That Gambit was one, if not the only mutant that could of escape Stryker.

And i hate that everyone is acting that this entire movie takes place in one time period, has nobody realized yet, they are streaching over DECADES for the film.

Hmmm i was told that Gambit broke into the facility under orders of sinister to retrieve information, Gambit is then caught by Stryker but manages to escape even after being hunted down by agent zero. Gambit is the one that got away.

True, but with all the other characters in the film (Gambit, Cyclops, Emma Frost, the early - though possibly now cut - Storm cameo), this is just about as much X-Men Origins as it is Wolverine.

That follows with the recent pre-Weapon X: First Class comic that had a young Gambit get hired by Sinister to retrieve his journal from Weapon X. They could have known about the script and decided to put the idea in the comics as well.

I didn't want to accidentally find out too much, but, I'll just keep the idea in the back of my head.

That comic was a joke. Gambit wasn't even a thought in the clonemaster Sinister's pants when Logan broke out of Weapon X, never mind a teenager. That was just a gratuitous publicity stunt to boost sales. It ain't canon.

I think the most you can expect Sinister to be in this movie is via retcon if he appears in X4. Probably during a confrontation with Wolverine, (or Gambit if the rumors about him being a former inmate are true) he will let slip that he was involved somehow with Weapon X

I know. THe timeline is completely messed up. But maybe that's where this rumor came from.

Didnt read through the entire article but one thing is for sure...Mr. Sinister is friggin HOT...

A lot of the reports and cameos make it sound like they're setting the stage specifically for a X-Men: First Class movie. It would be so awesome if they set up Mr. Sinister as the main villain for that film by giving him a cameo in this one.
