I don't know if this is an intentional omission but as an old school TV series fan it seems like there hasn't been too much notice given to the fact that the original live action Hulk, Lou Ferrigno provided for the most part the Hulk's vocalizations (Not just a line or two I believe.) in the movie. I'm not saying this is done out of spite but it might be an oversight if you know what I mean. I, personally, would love to hear from Mr. Ferrigno himself about his involvement with this movie. I'd also love to see him included as part of the promotion of this film since you can kind of say he's portraying the Hulk in his movie by lending his voice as a voice actor (A profession that doesn't get the respect it deserves.) to the CGI created incarnation of the character he physically portrayed.

Ferrigno and Hulk Hogan are going to be at a hulk-themed American Gladiators episode on June 9th so I guess that counts for promoting.

No one really cares about lou anymore...

he did all the voice acting for the hulk in the 90s cartoon but hardly anyone knows...

Considering how big American Gladiators is I'd say that counts as promoting the film. But what I'm really trying to get at is that I'd like to see more media interviews. It'd be nice to see him at comic cons chatting with fans about his work on the movie, but maybe this will have to be done after the movie has been released so as not to give away spoilers.

P.S. Considering that Hulk Hogan is one of the co-hosts of AG I hope he'd be there. :p

This is why I say Voice Acting doesn't get the respect it should be getting. Guys like Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, etc. etc. don't have the recognition alot of flash in the pan actors/actresses get and these guys have decades worth of work to back them up.

Well, in the original TV show Ted "Lurch" Cassedy did all the Hulks grunts, growls, and burps (as well as the shows intro). Lou nebver really did it for the show. IMO I was never all that impressed with Lou's voicework on the 96 cartoon as the savage Hulk (someone else did the Grey Hulk). He sounded a vbit to monotone at points, and never portrayed that anger as well as some other voice actors could.

If it is Lou doing the vocals and sound effects here, thats cool. But if it's a professional voice actor that got hired, thats not going to break my heart.

That's what everyone said in another thread. They'd used animal sounds for earlier trailers but either replaced or meshed Ferrigno in. It's certainly alot better for them to have Ferrigno do the voicework as opposed to a short cameo.

Well, if I lived closer to Chicago I'd go. Of course my record of actually getting up the nerve to go to tables inhabited by celebrities I adore is rather low. I turn into a blushing paralyzed mute.

I've been searching for confirmation of Lou doing the voice, can anyone provide a link, proof?

Anyway if he is I think it's cool.

They don't need to wheel him out everytime something Hulk related comes out.

That may be, but if he is voicing Hulk in a new film that is a little different.

If that's the case, then the wheeling needs to happen.

This is what I'm saying. If he is doing major voice work for the Hulk himself on this movie he should be included in the promotion of this film in the media. It would only be the right thing to do so.

That is the case because he's at EVERY con. He's a con ****e, so to people that have been to these things, they have seen him too many times to be excited about him anymore. Plus he charges $20 for a picture or autograph...at least that was the going rate last I checked. You can also get him to call you or a friend for something like $75 bucks.
The first time I met Lou, I was extremely excited...now, I'm like, "Hmm, there's Lou...Hey get a pic of that fat guy dressed as Darth Maul!" lol.
I'm sure Lou is loving it that there is a new Hulk movie coming out.

Was it even confirmed he's doing any voicework in Hulk? Or is this some Joke taken out of context from Comic Con NY.

Seeing as how I've never gone to any Comic Cons because they are just way too far away for me to attend I wouldn't know anything about this. New York City is even too far away for me in correlation to where I live.

Same with my wife! It must be a "chick" thing, lol...:yay:

You should have seen me blather when I got big Lou to sign my copy of Incredible Hulk #245 (Which was cool because it has a big "Marvel's TV sensation!" blurb on the cover, and also because it was a copy of the first comic I ever bought.)

So true...It's gotten to the point now where I just walk past and say, "Hey Lou" and go over to the next booth. I still do remember the first time I saw him in Chicago....felt like a little kid asking for his autograph and picture. Cool times.
