My wife's watching the Grammys while I chill out here. And as always on those inane awards shows, some insipid performer has to thank Jesus for giving them a stupid statuette. And somewhere a child starves to death. It is so ridiculous to think that any deity be it Jesus, God, Allah or Vishnu would 1) give a f;;ck about a stupid award, 2) allow evil to persist but bless entertainers for doing something as unimportant in the grand scheme of things as carry a tune.

I hate everyone.

Word to yo momma!

True though. Yes.

Well said, Killgore.

The fact you notice such things proves your wisdom. However, don't let it get to you. You hold no power over such things.

agreed...alsoit's like George Carlin says, you always here people thank jesus when they win, but yet they never say anything about him when they lose...you never hear a football player say "god made me fumble the ball at the 2 yard line" or anything. people who thank jesus or god for anything trivial are idiots...

The other thing that kills me is when someone gets in an accident, nearly die and lose the use of their legs and they thank Jesus for letting them live. WTF kind of deity do they worship? If he really cared they wouldn't have gotten in the accident in the first place.

Wow, this thread is still relevant 100 years later.

LOL

I think people do that because they know they have no control over life.
But it's true, thank the lord for the good things and say nothing when he fu€ks with you. Funny huh?

Thanks for the new way to fool the boards! Praise JE$US!

i dont see anything wrong with it. if they want to thank jesus for giving them talent and passion for what they do so let it be it. you bunch of freakin ******s!

I'm not a deeply religious person, but I've been raised Catholic.

So there are times when a bus comes and I get a seat, and I'm like, "Thank you God."

And there are other times when I'm waiting for a bus for 20 minutes
in a rainstorm and I'm like,

"YOUF**KINGA**HOLE!!!

Homer: Erm, I don't have any cash. Will you take this?
Bellboy: AN AWARD SHOW TROPHY!?!?...oh, its a Grammy *throws it out the window*

We desperately need a smiley of a face with a hand waving over its head. When we get it, I'll praise Vishnu.

BTW, how do you get the euro sign?

Don't blame God for the evil in this world. Look in the mirror and in your own heart. Their is plenty of evil found within the hearts of mankind ... God doesn't need to contribute.

Thats the whole point! We believe that if Jesus would give anything, he would give that starving child some food instead of the singer an award. So the singer thanking Jesus doesnt make any sense.

OMG OMG OMG

get it???????????

Yes>?????????????????????????

raly???????????

Oh realy?????????????

:ninja:

No one's blaming God.

For someone "chilling out"....you seem rather tense.

So a little two year old girl who is diagnosed with cancer has evil within her heart? But Mary J Blige's heart is filled with righteousness.
