Song recording program

    We need to record a song, about a girl we know. It's a parody on Thriller. What kind of program should we use.

    We've got a good laptop and a Logitech Microphone.

    What tips can people give us on this subject. Is there a site, where we can download the Thriller song, so we can sing along to it and let a program record it on the laptop?

    I hope you guys can help us out.
