songs that remind you of batman

Helena by my chemical romance.

Long ago
Just like the hearse, you die to get in again
We are...
So far from you

Burning on, just like a match you strike to incinerate
The lives
Of everyone you know
And what's the worst to take? (worst you take)
From every heart you break (heart you break)
And like a blade you stain (blade you stain)
Well, I've been holding on tonight

[chorus]
What's the worst thing I could say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long not goodnight

Came a time
When every star fall
Brought you to tears again
We are
The very hurt you sold
And what’s the worst to take? (worst to take)
From every heart you break (heart you break)
And like the blade you stain (blade you stain)
Well, I've been holding on tonight

[chorus]
What's the worst thing I could say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long not goodnight

Well, if you carry on this way
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long not goodnight

Can you hear me...
Are you near me?
Can we pretend
To leave and then...
We'll meet again
When both our cars collide!

[chorus]
What's the worst thing I could say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long not goodnight

Well if you carry on this way?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long not goodnight...

All these things I've done by the killers.

When there's nowhere else to run
Is there room for one more son
One more son
If you can hold on
If you can hold on, hold on
I wanna stand up, I wanna let go
You know, you know - no you don't, you don't
I wanna shine on in the hearts of men
I want a meaning from the back of my broken hand

Another head aches, another heart breaks
I am so much older than I can take
And my affection, well it comes and goes
I need direction to perfection, no no no no

Help me out
Yeah, you know you got to help me out
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner
You know you got to help me out

And when there's nowhere else to run
Is there room for one more son
These changes ain't changing me
The cold-hearted boy I used to be

Yeah, you know you got to help me out
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner
You know you got to help me out
You're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down

I got soul, but I'm not a soldier
I got soul, but I'm not a soldier
...

Yeah, you know you got to help me out
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner
You know you got to help me out
You're gonna bring yourself down
You're gonna bring yourself down
Yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner
Yeah, you're gonna bring yourself down

Over and in, last call for sin
While everyone's lost, the battle is won
With all these things that I've done
All these things that I've done
If you can hold on
If you can hold on

I'm waiting for the night to fall
I know that it will save us all
When everything's dark
Keeps us from the stark reality

I'm waiting for the night to fall
When everything is bearable
And there in the still
All that you feel is tranquillity

There is a star in the sky
Guiding my way with its light
And in the glow of the moon
Know my deliverance will come soon

I'm waiting for the night to fall
I know that it will save us all
When everything's dark
Keeps us from the stark reality

I'm waiting for the night to fall
When everything is bearable
And there in the still
All that you feel is tranquillity

There is a sound in the calm
Someone is coming to harm
I press my hands to my ears
It's easier here just to forget fear

And when I squinted
The world seemed rose-tinted
And angels appeared to descend
To my surprise
With half-closed eyes
Things looked even better
Than when they were open

Been waiting for the night to fall
I knew that it would save us all
Now everything's dark
Keeps us from the stark reality

Been waiting for the night to fall
Now everything is bearable
And here in the still
All that you feel is tranquility

Depeche Mode- Waiting For The Night

Well... Power Symphony's "Way of the Sword" (Although a the pronoun used is "she" throughout), and "The Curse of Every Man"... although if I'm in the right frame of mind everything can be about Batman.
And I for one am shocked that no-one's mentioned Wesley Willis's masterpiece:

I Wupped Batman's Ass:
Batman got on my nerves
He was running me amok
He ridiculed me calling me a bum
I wupped Batman's ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s assss.
Batman thought he was bad
He was a ****ing ******* in the first place
He got knocked to the floor
I wupped Batman's ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass.
Batman beat the hell out of me and knocked me to the floor
I got back up and knocked him to the floor
He was being such a jackoff
I wupped Batman's ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped Batman’s ass, I wupped…. Batman’s ass
Rock over London, rock on Chicago
Wheaties, breakfast of champions

Perhaps we can post the lyrics to the songs we post? S**t, I'll do it:

Behind Blue Eyes:

No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes

No one knows what it's like
To be hated
To be fated
To telling only lies

But my dreams
They aren't as empty
As my conscience seems to be

I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free

No one knows what it's like
To feel these feelings
Like I do
And I blame you

No one bites back as hard
On their anger
None of my pain and woe
Can show through

But my dreams
They aren't as empty
As my conscience seems to be

I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free

When my fist clenches, crack it open
Before I use it and lose my cool
When I smile, tell me some bad news
Before I laugh and act like a fool

If I swallow anything evil
Put your finger down my throat
If I shiver, please give me a blanket
Keep me warm, let me wear your coat

No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes
Yeah man that's a good one.

In the Air tonight-Phil Colli
Overburdened-Disturbed
Thank You!!! I didn't think anyone would call that one. But yeah that song reminds me so much or Year Two where Batman has his final confrontation with Joe Chill. That song reminds me of Batman more than any of the other songs here. I also think Disturbed's "Darkness" is a very good 'Batman' song.

Say Hello to the Night - Lost Boys
(I just image that their saying Knight instead of Night and its perfect.)
Also,
A Hero Can Save Us - Nickleback

"White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane reminds me of the Mad Hatter because of all the things in the song about Alice in Wonderland (but not the stuff about mushrooms and talking backwards though).

Fear of the Dark is by Iron Maiden covered by Cradle of Filth. Speaking of Iron Maiden . . . if you look on the cover of their album Somewhere in time . . . youll notice a certain dark shadowy figure with pointy ears and a scalloped cape standing on a roof top.
Check it out.

I know it's a cover. The Cradle of Filth version is much nicer I think.

That's insane :wow:

Thanks for pointing it out. I don't listen to much metal I doubt I would have seen it anywhere else.

Is that not cool as hell? I've also seen a single cover for 22 Accacia Avenue ste in an alley, that same Eddie poster as seen on the right, and in the night sky the moon is very much the same as the cover to Danny Elfman's original Batman score.
I'll definately have to check out cradle's cover. Two more songs of Maiden's that remind of Batman related material are 'Revalations' fits so well with BTAS where it shows Ras' origin. 'The Evil that Men do' is like reading Batman's thought bubbles as he reminices about his dealings with Talia. Actually both songs remind me of the whole Batman, Ras, Talia storyline.

I downloaded Revelations, I can't seem to get the other now. It's a funny song i'll keep it on my playlist cos i reckon it'll grow on me. I can totally see how it reminds you of Ras. Adventuring in deserts with crazy arab ninja clans.

Fear of the Dark - Oddly enough it's the violin bit and ESPECIALLY the BAGPIPES that reminds me of Batman hanging around rooftops. I dunno it's fu*ken weird. The rest is him battling and criminals crying and begging for their lives and hiding in corners. Regardless, it's one of my favorite single songs of all time.

I seem to remember a Nightwing issue, or a scene somewhere with Dick in his apartment and there's a goddamn JARS OF CLAY cd lying around. Seriously. wtf. He does not listen to Jars of Clay.

What would Batman listen to? I thinking only classical music or flamenco guitar.

Yeah I would think classical . . . just as Vader listens to classical. I know those are two very different characters on different sides of the spectrum and Universe for that matter. . . . but I think they have simular souls, those two.

Yeah man!! I like the violin added to that song. I still prefer Bruce Dickinson's vocals, but yeah that was a very nice touch.

Another song . . . There is a Light . . . from the Batman Forever soundtrack.

Of course the Elfman theme is top of the list that will always stand out, hold me thrill me by U2, and kiss from a rose too.

Another that im guessing none of you will of heard but Stay in Shadow - Finger Eleven, awesome song, if you havent heard it, i suggest you do.

Who I Am - Smile Empty Soul. That's Batman.

If anyone says that isn't a song about Batman, give you your e-mail and I'll prove it.

That song suits Batman more then Spider-Man(its on the OST) :batman:

Sorry but that in an awful emo song, that doesnt deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Batman.

For the love of baby Jesus, Mohammed and all the other prophets, please, PLEASE do NOT write out the full, life-draining, mind numbing lyrics to EVERY damn song which reminds you of The Batman.

Highly unnecessary and irritating to the point of making MY BRAIN HURT

If you don't like it than don't read the post.

Hell yeah, I can't stand MYCR. Let alone any other band formed in the last 10 years.

Trans Siberian Orchestra's version of Carol of the Bells. It actually fits in perfectly with the "new Year's" chapter of Long Halloween.

Shut up fool. I did find the topic interesting, until it got cluttered up with people going beyond what was asked and started quoting WHOLE SONGS. We can look up the lyrics if we're that interested. I'd rather people just stick to the original question so I don't injure my index finger having to scroll through reams and reams of garbage to get to the point...
