High price of entry for the system itself, but everything seems pretty much taken care of, or cheap, after that. 12.99 memory card adapter = awesome.

nice... i read in a little side bar in the newest gameinformer (with DMC4 on the cover) that the ps3, along with having the tilt-movement, will also have motion sensors like the wii controller.

I really like the look of the ps3... and I wonder if a usb cord to charge the controller's gonna come with in (LI-OM (isn't that what it's called?) battery's built in the controller, uses usb cable to recharge, but didn't state if it was coming with the controller.. I'ld assume so).

I heard that you cant use the PS2 controller in the PS3 so I wonder if they will release an adapter for that

they could but there might not be much demand for it. wireless controllers just have a freedom that can't be beat. with a wireless controller the remote seems unnessersary aswell, but it could be preferable. i surpose for the sake of backwards compatability the original pad might be prefered, but immersion technologies lawsuit's outcome might get in the way of that.

I'd always prefer a remote to a controller. They're just easier to use for movies.

The prices, translated to English equivalents, seem pretty similar to what we got for the PS2.

yeah Im more concerned about the rumble feature bc some games really utilized that such as MGS3 with the AP sensor. That would be useless on the PS3 without the PS2 controller. I hope a 3rd party at least releases an adapter

Sixaxis is the dumbest name for a controller.

But, at least the memory card adapter is real cheap.

Yea, but the Wii has a terrible looking controller, it should be intresting playing the new way.

Well, the Wii-mote is clever.

Sixaxis is just a name stating it has six axis points.

Seeing as how this is as good as a place as any to bring this up, something's been really bothering me about the whole "Six-axis" of motion that the PS3 controller is being said to have...

What are the 6 axis??

They're talking about Up, Down, Left, Right, Forward, and Back, correct?

Well if I remember my math correctly, isn't that only 3 axis?? Isn't the 4'th "axis" time?

I mean, Left and right are both on the same axis. Up and down are on the same axis. And Forward and backward are on the same axis. These 3 axis are commonly named x, y, and z when put on a graph, right?

Look there. 6 directions, yes. But only 3 axis.

Perhaps they say it's 6 axis to make it sound better or something? Either way, it's confusing and flat-out wrong.

Dude, it's just a name. :p

The Duel Shock didn't particularly 'shock' me.

Just a name.

Yes, but it goes farther than simply a name. It's being advertised as a controller that works on "all 6 axis".

Those other axis are the "potential" Krazy Ken must have been talking about. Truly this is a powerful machine. It can even rewrite mathematical laws!:wow:
