I think it's rediculous that they're doing this. This not only eliminates buying used games from GameStop, EB Games, or eBay; but also rentals from BlockBuster or other places.

I think Riz in one of his reincarnations said there would be a code available that'd let games be read from one system to another for rentals, and he also said hackers would crack the code and use it and whatnot. Regardless, it's one of those ideas that doesn't even sound good on paper.

The problem is Master Chief. I doubt there are enough casual gamers to know about it that dont visit message boards & stuff like that & you will probably end up needing a modded ps3

It is really crappy how Sony is trying to FORCE PEOPLE to buy their games brand new or else. I can picture first week now

Friend1 - Hey dude I got a PS3
Friend 2 - Me 2
Friend 1 - Yo you want to switch games for a while I borrow 1 of yours you borrow 1 of mine since we both played it & liked it & all that stuff
Friend 2 - Sure

Both go home put games in system
Friend 1 & 2 - wtf
Friend 1 & 2 - game dont work

Both test games in their original systems & find they work fine & then do a little searching online & find out about this & both end up returning their systems

Sony Fans may buy the System first week of release but I would expect ALOT OF RETURNS if Sony lets this happen

How would honestly want a system where you cant even borrow a game from a friend to try it out first ? This is just another way for Sony to force people to buy Games brand new. I hope Sonys PS3 dies a horrible death
