Have you ever met someone in life or the net that follows South Park like a sheep. I mean that whatever the moral is at the end of the story they believe no matter how way of the mark they are:

I mean I here people now who think the ressurection of Christ is more important than the cruisfixtion even though he died to save us, but he didn't rise to save us.

Some people now believe that Alcoholics are lazy pathetic asses thatshould be able to drink in moderation, even though anybody who's met one knows they can't

Also all over the net this anti-Family Guy has risen since Cartoon Wars all because Trey and Matt say it sucks

Trey and Matt suck. Yes, I said it. Come and get me...

I use to love South Park up until a few years ago. Now...you know I just could give a **** about topical humor that has some message in it. The Terry Shavo episode was the limit for me.

And I think Trey and Matt's heads have gotten kind of big. I could care less about their comments on FG. If they can't stand existing at the same time of another show without commenting on it, that's their problem.

BaseKetBall still rocked though

Finally!!!
Someone else who shares my dislike for South Park.
Wait...
I know a lot of people who think South Park is total crap, and that Venture Bros. is the funniest thing than anything on TV ever.

Truthfully, I think that should be determined on a person by person basis. Some people generally have a problem, but others are just morons.

I rather like both. :(

But the messages do tend to be right. I love Family Guy but they hit the nail with the manatee thing.

"...Sheep go to heaven, goats go to hell...."-Cake

I like them both as well, though I haven't seen the new ones that folks are saying are so terrible *lack of cable*

I've always judged people based on the way they live, not how they died. So, in my eyes, it's the things Christ did before the crucifixion that are most important.

Frankly, I hate Family Guy anyway.

Well then you probably shouldn't be on a message board, you know, where you may be exposed to some thoughts that won't match yours.

*ker-shrug*

south park is awesome. i love the messages they have at the end, theyre true tho.

and the way the show portrays family guy is soo true tho. almost every episode the joke is always related to some damn flash back/forward.

South Park won't last the test of time, simply because its too topical.

that what makes the whole thing funny tho. and thier sticking to thier roots. it really makes the episodes funny and true as hell. when you watch an episode you actually get what they're saying.

I don't get what they're saying.
All I see and hear are lame fart jokes, poor animation, and not very funny pokes at celebrities.

South Park isn't funny at all. Its a lame attempt to make show thats trying to say something.

Why do you still think people care about anything you post?

The censorship episodes were some of the best tv I've watched evah.

Do you really think a show that has poo, farting comedians and a towel as centerpiece jokes can take the high ground against family guy using randomness? Its not like south park doesn't use an obvious formula for their jokes.

They're both funny (and hit & miss), but lets not pretend they require wit or a great deal of intelligence to follow and that either one have some kind of virtuous integrity. QI stomps on them in that regard.

And I don't always agree with South park, but they don't exactly pick the tough battles. Tom Cruise is crazy... well duh.

For the guy with the nBSG avatar, may interest you to know that Trey and Matt consider it the best show around and said although they make fun of everything they wouldn't touch nBSG. :)

I don't agree with a lot of the statements made in the episodes, and I do feel the show has become too preachy, but I still enjoy it.

I don't agree with some of the statements either, but their main message is to try to think for ourselves, and don't join people with incredibly polarized opinions.
The Terry Shavo episodes main point was, "no matter what you do, do NOT show me in this state on national television". So basically: "Use common sense, and don't eat up everything they tell you."

Who follow South Park opinions like sheep, are doing the exact opposite of what the creators intended.

Too bad most people who ***** about South Park messages, are doing it because of religion (MJD) or politics. And at most times, that means they are sheeps of a much bigger and more dangerous flock. That is all.

Everyone knows that South Park is better than Family Guy. I've known it for a long time. Family guy just isn't that funny. If you take out all the obscure 70-90's refrences, the random flashbacks, and the jokes that have absolutely nothing to do with the plot, Family Guy would be a 5 minute short on SNL.

South Park on the other hand, is pretty much always funny. I'll still watch the first few seaons, and the new season to compare. It's only gotten funnier. South Park pushes boundaries. And when people tell them to stop, they push even harder.

Plus, South Park has the number 1 musical DVD/VHS sales ever. "The Stewie Griffin Story" didn't sell well, and they had to put it on TV as two extra episodes to end the season. GG FG.

We had thread on this exact topic back in feb when the whole issue of Chef leaving and the cartoon wars thing brewed?

Dag, where were y'all then?

if you're watching south park for their "messages" which are almost always wrong and or middle of the road bull****. I pitty you.
but if you think that someone saying family guy sucks and saying south park is funnier makes him/her a "sheep" I pitty you as well.
