brings a tear to my eye. the way they are going all out and marketing to all sorts of audiences. everyone is going to be talking about the trailer after it premieres.

THIS is how you market a blockbuster.

Couldn't agree with you more. WB needs to take a hint. BUZZ is huge in the success of movies. Especially, comic book movies.

The SM3 production budget is above 250 million dollars probably the most expensive movie next year. So starting heavy promotion early on is essential if Sony want to another hit.

But it can also be nagative... I mean, when people are already tired of Spider-Man 3 although there's still six months till the movie is released.

However, I don't think they're doing TOO much promotion. Their strategy is good :)

If the product they are advertising heavily is as good as they advertise it to be, then there is no such thing as too much promotion for it. :D

Don't think they're doing too much promotion either its just that they started earlier than most movies. Its very evenly paced out;
First official Sandman pic November 2005, first black suit pic February 2006, teaser trailer June 2006, teaser poster July 2006, Comic-Con July 2006, first Brock/Venom pic July 2006, Trailer 1 November 2006....

Yeah, Sony has much better marketing strategy than WB (and Warners should learn this structre).

But, the only thing which getting me worried is overdose of promotion.

Isn't this too early to start so huge promotion.

I just hope Sony won't show too much, because than it will hurt movie.

This is the prefect time get people excited for the new year [2007] with an amazing New Trailer and some posters .

I mean Warner wait way too long to relased the second trailer for Superman returns last year, not to mention the long wait for the posters .

^^^

Agreed and yeah that really helps Spidey 3.

But i just hope it won't turns against the movie.

It will help the movie I'm sure of it . Remember when the trailer for Spidey 2 and we saw Doc Ock for the first time how hyped up everyone on here was . Heck I remember watch it at the movie theatre People were screaming OMG, lokk it's Doc Ock , HOLY **** etc .... [the response was all positve]

^^^

Yeah, but I thought most of fans (including me) first time saw him in that C-Con footage with the scene in hospital (and it had very bad quality).

Yes, but then when we actually saw the finished finale version, We loved it . The Hospital scene was well done .

I have total faith that Sony will market this film very smoothly and successfully. The madness shall soon begin when the new Spider-Man 3 trailer is aired on a variety of different channels.

Agreed.

I think Sony made smart move with so early start of so hyge promotion.

It will help Spidey 3 in box office (Disney and DreamWorks will start promotiong of POTC3 and Shrek 3 only next month)

sony knows how to market a movie. i dont agree with the trailers since they are showing to much. but the posters and pics are great promoted.

i dont think there is too much promotion, we have had, 2 early spidey3 pictures, spidey3 posters, comic-con 2006, teaser trailer [not in that order], and now we are getting a new trailer, merchandise hasnt been released yet, action figures to, the way they are promoting things are a good and very fine way.

At least, Sony doesn't make trailers like WB.

WB is great company, but they have no idea how excellent trailer should look like to get people excited and hyped.

Sony really knows how to get people excited. And they have the money for it, lol. I really like that the teaser was released to early; not like POTC 3, which STILL hasn't:csad: Why are they waiting this long:csad: ?
Anywho, by the time SM-3's premiere, every living being on Earth will know Spidey is back on screens on 4th May:woot: Thanks to Sony advertising:hyper: !

Any**

Too much? It's not to early. They do want to keep the anticipatiion for the movie high. Sony has done a good job of doing promoting in doses thus far.

Hey, I have already realized this :word:

So is the trailer coming out today or tomorrow?

I heard some say tonight during south part and others that say during CSI tomorrow.

Which is it?
