World Spider-man and the PS3

Has anyone noticed that the lettering on the PS3 and the Spider-man movie font are the same? Is this just because Sony owns/rights to both or is there going to be some kinda cross promotion? I could picture that. The PS3 should be getting released about the same time SM3 would come out on DVD... Like either would really need the promo though, right?

i think itsjust the fact that sony liked it and went with it. no way would they make a 600 buck machine to play games, blue ray and promote spiderman 3. and after watchin that trailer. teh playstation three would only hurt it. AWESOME.

I can't remember what it's called, but the lettering used is a fairly standard typeface.

Edit: I found it. It is called "Mata". The logos both use italic versions though.

I like the font... but I don't like that font being on the PS3... it looks bad on it.

There's always a bunch of haters. I like the font. but I also hate it on the PS3, looks tacky.
